He is the absolute friendliest and most knowledgeable ER doctor at Woodstock. He was able to diagnose my son when even sick kids was baffled. He also has always been amazing with anyone is my family. Very thorough and an amazing asset to the hospital

Treated for a deep leg gash requiring stitches last night, I received prompt, capable, first-rate treatment by Dr. Umer, and the ER nursing staff at WGH. Thank-You

This doctors left my mom walk out of the ER twice in a horrible about of pain. No test were done. No blood work. Just given pain pills to be taken for an unknown diagnosis. My mom doesn’t go to the hospital unless she’s in an incredible amount of pain let alone show up in an ambulance. She doesn’t want pills. She doesn’t like to take them. Completely unacceptable. She found the help she needed elsewhere. Thank goodness.

I was told by a NP that I had advanced liver fibrosis with ascites(ab fluid) I went to have it drained. Dr Umer did Ultrasound, blood work, tested the fluid for cancer cells and booked a CT. Thank God!! My liver was fine but I have advanced stage ovarian cancer. He did this in one visit and the wrong liver diagnosis took 2 months. Dr. Umer is funny , kind, thorough and very intelligent. If I make it I owe it to him.

Saw Dr. Umer in ER at woodstock. I am pregnant and have hyperemesis gravidirum. I had been sick without being able to keep anything down, fluids or food for days. I was extremely dehydrated to the point of being lethargic. I also had stomach pain when I came in but it had finally eased off when he finally saw me 4hrs later.
When he finally came in he wanted to give me drugs through IV. This is my sixth pregnancy and I have had HG with all. As soon as I said I didn't want drugs, but just fluid to get rehydrated, he didn't want to help.
He didn't check the baby's heartbeat, or do a quick ultrasound to make sure all was OK, he didn't ask me about the pain in my stomach, and he gave me only 1bag of fluid before sending me home, still puking and too weak to walk out of the ER.
He was playing with 2 lives.. mine and my baby's. I hadn't peed in over 10hrs, my urine was dark orange and hardly any when I finally went a little bit.
He should have given me more fluid, and made sure I could keep something down before I left, and that I was rehydrated.
I was not against drugs if I absolutely needed them, but they had not helped in past pregnancy.
I give him a 0 star. When I started to feel better, I realized how awful it was that he sent someone home that ill, and a baby's life was in play as well!!

Dr. Umer saw me for my first gallbladder attack in Nov. 2020... he was such an amazing doctor! He found the problem so fast, had me referred to Dr. Humphreys right away and his bedside manner was great! We had eachother laughing by the time I left! He has a great sense of humour!

I am not giving any stars for this Dr. He was rude and uncaring. I was sent by my Dr. to the ER for back pain and pins and needles in my feet and leg pain. When I first entered the hospital the Nurse who did the sign in was very rude as well. I told her that my Dr. Sent me here. She said "everyone says that". Very unprofessional. I waited 3 hrs. For this Dr. Umer to come in and all he did was make me feel like I was wasting his time. After a quick exam and a condescending attitude I was sent on my way, with no diagnosis. No x-ray, no ultrasound, nothing. I was offered pain meds. He suggested T3s but quickly changed his mind. I am pretty sure he though I was there just for opioids. Shame on you Dr. Umer! You get 0 stars.

Dealt with him twice, first time for my son he at least sent us to London hospital for better care but made me very uncomfortable and kept touching my leg and sitting on the bed with my son and I… had him again for myself and again I was uncomfortable with the unnecessary touching and rubbing of my shoulder… just gave me an uneasy feeling
