I have no hesitation in saying Dr Meade has been an outstanding surgeon for the many operations over several years who truly cares about his patients, spends time to explain what he intends doing, the results after the operations. As others have said, I have no issues with surgeries being later than expected because I
know he would be looking after other patients who needs his time more urgently. I was amazed to ask a nurse if Dr Meade was in the hospital and if there was some time limit for his operations. She smiled and said Dr Meade will be operating until he has finished his scheduled operations even at 3am. His staff are very professional, friendly and caring, values and standards he obviously encourages. I am lucky to have had a GP referral to him over 12 years and 6 operations ago.

As far as I am concerned Dr Meade can be as late as he wants! He is a wonderful surgeon who is compassionate and caring. I have had many surgeries in my years and it is rare to have a surgeon who talks, explains, spends the time to put you at ease and has a good sense of humour! I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me and I would travel every time to see him in the future should I need to. His staff are also fantastic, friendly and efficient.

Amazing, caring, thorough, approachable. Rated 5 stars for punctuality because it doesn’t matter how late he may be - it’s only because he’s been helping someone else. This doctor cares, this doctor is skilled. Spend the time, it’s worth it!

There's not a rating high enough for Dr Meade. This man saves and changes lives. I would not trust another surgeon the way I trust this man. He never gives up on you and will explore every possible avenue to give you quality & longevity of life. His skill is beyond remarkable. When you have the best surgeon who is busy saving lives, you never mind a little longer wait - the best is worth waiting for. He takes the time with you that you need and never makes you feel rushed. Amazing human.

I'm about to have my fourth surgery with Dr Meade and I trust him impeccably. He is definitely always late, but he takes his time with you when you see him and that is what is most important to me. I've also been squeezed in due to the fact that I travel 7 hrs to see him each time, which may mean I contribute to his lateness in those accessions so I'm incredibly grateful to be taken in and looked after, waiting doesn't bother me when my options at home are nil to scary. While in hospital, I was informed several times of Dr Meade still operating at 9pm. The man works hard and takes the time he needs to give every client the same professional service and I appreciate that immensely.
When seeing him post op, his staff always keep me updated re his lateness. Maybe it's because I travel so far and therefore have the days off to see him , but when he is late I take the opportunity to shop and do lunch with my mum. :)
I've been seeing him about a complex fistula.

Can't recommend highly enough. This bloke knows how to put your mind at ease about the most complex problems. Loved my former Colorectal Surgeon Dr Russell Stitz, struck it lucky twice. 👍👍

Worth the wait. Dr Meade is infamous for taking all the time his patients need. This means he is usually late but he is worth the wait. Nothing about Colon surgery is simple but his caring demeanor and knowledge of the subject make you feel confident to place you life in his hands.

I have had many unexpected problems and Dr Meade has always helped me . I have had 3 surgeries and he always makes me feel at ease . You may have to wait a little to see him but he is worth it. I have seen other surgeons and they have been very rude and arrogant Dr Meade really cares for his patients and your quality of life. I would never go to any one else.

Brian has taken the time to understand my complex and long history carefully consider and explain my options in a way that made me feel like I was in the drivers seat for the decision about surgical options and approaches. He doesn’t rush you at all when you finally get in there.. His appointments are really difficult to schedule and surgery even more so which makes it difficult. I have also experienced the tardiness but appreciate that reception staff keep you informed of ‘how late’ he is. I get the impression he is more expensive than others but so far I think he’s worth it.
