Dr.Clayton is the best doctor I have encountered in my 4.5 years as a type 1 diabetic. He is compassionate, kind, practical and supportive.
Dr.Clayton has helped me significantly with understanding my diagnosis, lowering my A1C, and bringing a light and sense of humour to the generally overwhelming experience of dealing with a lifelong condition.
I cant recommend Dr. Clayton enough.

Dr. Clayton has been my doctor for about 10 years . He has been so kind, always on time and is generous with his time. He is helpful beyond measure; he is the reason I have learned so much about my disease. He is so easy to relate to and always gives positive feedback and support. Hard to surpass!

Dr Clayton is a wonderful endocrinologist and takes the time to look outside the box if symptoms are not matching diagnosis. I came to Dr Clayton diagnosed type 2 but not doing well on oral medications. When put on insulin, I wasn’t using the amounts people with type 2 usually use.

Turns out I am quite insulin sensitive. My testing was redone and it was found that I am actually a late onset type one diabetic. I’m now on a pump and continuous glucose monitor and feeling so much better.

Dr. Clayton also manages my thyroid medication. He is qualified, compassionate and smart! I feel honoured to have him as my endocrinologist. He understands my multiple autoimmune issues and works with my rheumatologist and GP to ensure everyone knows what’s going on with my endocrine system!

Unfortunately a very frustrating experience with this office. One digital appointment was completely forgotten and I sat waiting for an hour, the next was 45 minutes late for a phone call because they did not check the phone number was correct. The third in person I was locked out of the office and had to call and leave voicemails that I could not enter the office. In the visit he was kind, and he seems knowledgeable, but he said he would follow up with me after results came in and both myself and my GP spent October to January trying to get any response from his office. There was no response to numerous voicemails and emails left, and my GP was also shocked at the insufficient communication where his office spent weeks trying to get a response.

I was then informed of a new referral to his office, but after confirming the appointment the MOA said I did not need an appointment with Dr. Clayton. No one informed my GP or myself that the appointment was cancelled, and when asked for the specific date they called they were not willing to provide the date. This has caused problems as my other specialists were relying on information from the endocrinologist about new symptom development, but the MOA waved me off.

I’m sure Dr. Clayton as a physician is knowledgeable in his field, but the barriers for receiving care through his office are incredible. It feels as though I am not deserving of care or dignity through this office, and it is affecting the care my other specialists can provide to me.

Dr. Clayton does not listen to the patient; his report was filled with errors, missing the worst injury of my lifetime and incorrect name of my GP. I only saw him once, yet when i requested a copy of my report 6 months later it showed a completely different score than what he first stated ... almost 50% higher risk factor! It seems his mind is elsewhere. Drive further if you have to, but get a doctor who knows osteoporosis.
