I have been a patient for several years before covid. I was born with digestive issues and have to get scopes every other year. Prior to covid I was instructed to call once every 18 months to schedule the scope, or sooner if I was having issues.
Policy changed during covid.
When I called in the secretary was very rude and dismissive. She told me to get a referral and SHE will call ME.
Ok. Did that, and waited a year before I heard back. She scheduled me for a virtual appointment in 7 months. I asked for an in office one instead." No, he doesn't have in office appointments anymore."
Ok, fine. Got my email, followed the instructions and waited for 2 hours in the virtual lobby. Noone joined the session.
I called the office several times during this virtual waiting room and no answer, so I left a voicemail after the 2 hours asking to be rescheduled.
No call back. I called once a week for 6 months, each time leaving a voicemail. Never getting a call back.
Finally she answered the phone. I explained that I was in the virtual waiting room for 2 hours, I've been leaving voicemails once a week for 6 months and I'd like an in office appointment. She reminded me that he doesn't have in office appointments anymore and was told another service uses the office now. I asked to have another virtual appointment. She said since it'd been a year since the original referal that I would need another one...
I got one, to a different physician. She will ruin his practice.
