I first saw Dr Forde about 7 years ago for a period of 2 years or so, after I had an abnormal pep test. She came up again in my searches recently through this site, so I thought I should write my review. I was in my mid 20s having an abnormal pep the first time, and based on my searches, it’s probably high risk HPV, which was nerve wrecking. Dr Forde spoke in a demeaning tone and was not the least bit comforting, but let’s not judge a person by their general demeanour. She took a biopsy to investigate (I expected this), it stung, and I had light bleeding for the rest of the day (also not abnormal), my legs were weak when walking. The result was CIN1, which based on my research, the approach should be wait and monitor as it normally resolves itself within 2 years. Dr Forde suggested surgery instead to get rid of it ASAP or come back every 6 months for biopsies (which was unpleasant and expensive to say the least). I should’ve gone to a different doctor but I was too young at the time to know. But I did know in my gut that surgery wasn’t called for in this instance (having read about the risks and potential impact it can have on pregnancies in the future). I also didn’t want to go back every 6 months, as I didn’t think there would’ve been enough change in just 6 months time. So, I went back in about a year’s time for another biopsy. Got told off for not having done the 6 monthly, “it’s only your body” or something to that effect, overall very condescending and certainly does not encourage you to keep coming back if that was the aim. Result was about the same but a bit better. Anyway fast forward to the end of 2 years or so, pep was normal, I was ecstatic never having to see her again and knew that I was right, waiting was the best approach. Pep was normal for 3 years in a row. I then had another abnormal pep and was referred to a different doctor. It was only upon seeing a different doctor I realised that the biopsy didn’t have to hurt and I didn’t have to bleed (I barely felt anything). She was also very pleasant and comforting. She told me to come back in a year’s time to see (in line with my expectations). A couple of years on, I’m back to normal pep. And it took seeing a different doctor to make me realise Dr Forde was too rough and dare I say in my opinion unprofessional. Above all else, recommending an invasive procedure was unacceptable when the general (not to mention most effective) approach is to wait and see without doing any damage to the cervix. I shudder to think if I had gone through with a procedure, if she would’ve taken off too much of my cervix, if I would regret it now that I’m in my mid 30s thinking about pregnancy. I shudder to think if any other young women who were scared and didn’t know any better would’ve gone through with a procedure, whether they lived to regret that decision. I’m glad I trusted my gut and had done my own research, I recommend everyone to do the same. Ultimately if you can’t trust your doctor or feel comfortable with them or what they’re suggesting to you, you need to see a different doctor (even if it does mean another expensive initial consultation).

I was nervous about my appointment after reading these reviews but found Caron to be reassuring, honest and very easy to talk to. She put a plan in place for investigations and treatment and I felt very satisfied with the consultation. She also had a great sense of humour which really helped..Definately would recommend her.

My surgery was pain free (no drugs in recovery!) and she was very attentive in following up. Very thorough investigation of problems. Does not sugar coat anything - feels abrupt at the time but you feel grateful later. Would not hesitate to recommend her.

Awful, awful person. I was poorly treated as a patient & served her as a customer. She treated me like garbage... you don't expect a customer (with unreasonable requests) to wish you a bad day.

Purely motivated by money and status
Fundamental basics like cleanliness are traded against return on investment
Exploratory surgery led to a laporotomy due to infectection
This required total removal of vital organs and a life of never ending problems
Luckily when this disaster exploded she back away and left to a collegue to clean up her mess
Her collegue delivered at a level beyond expectation and sadly no longer practices

I have been a patient of Dr Forde for 6 years and I cannot speak highly enough of her. She is straight to the point, no fluff (just the way I like it) and is highly knowledgeable. I have always enjoyed her sense of humour and professional manner.

I completely agree with every negative review posted about Dr Forde; she is deplorable. I engaged her services as a young woman who, at the time, was barely 20 years old for a pap smear (after the first one from my GP had come back abnormal). Dr Forde was rude, arrogant, judgmental and spoke to me in such a way that I felt both child like and stupid. She left a speculum hanging out of my body while she went and retrieved another implement, but not after she made me cry in her office. She was unprofessional, intimidating and nasty. I left her office feeling violated and humiliated.
Dr Forde is a disgrace to the professional.

She was my doctor when I was pregnant with my first baby. Her attitude is appalling. From telling my husband he did not need to return now that he had 'shown you care" to telling me I did not gave to eat anything but lettuce for my pregnancy, toward the end when visits were weekly saying one week she though baby was measuring small, to the next, measuring too big. At 40+8 with no head engagement she refused to induce and stated she would see me in a weeks time, I then asked about the option of a c-section which she booked for the next day, but did not explain that this could have implications for future deliveries until after my daughter was born. For my second pregnancy I engaged an alternate OB and it was such a positive experience compared to Caron. I would suggest you look else where

Goodness me this women needs striking off. I had a white mark and was worried what it could be and she smirked and said it was nothing. Turned out to be cancer. Rude, obnoxious and has no right to be practising. Go elsewhere, you might get to live!
