This man belongs in a seniors facility!
Not only does he REPEAT himself every single visit but when you try to challenge his narrative he gets angry.
I don't know how long ago he received his education in this field of study but when he opens his mouth you can tell its been decades!

This man has himself a pretty good gig though!! He sits in his chair all day and points at posters on his wall and periodically pulls some pharmaceutical propaganda out from his desk to backpack his stories and gets paid (I'm sure quite well) because there is no other explanation as to why this senile old fool is still sitting behind that desk...Absolutely incompetent! I could do a better job!
If you aren't serious about getting yourself REAL help and don't mind listening to someone talk about themselves for an hour by all means, have at it and good luck!

He is a very good dr and knowledgeable. I saw him once but so far the medication that he prescribed has been working. He was very punctual and friendly. I recommended him to my friends as well. They gave me a good feed back as well. Definitely I wouldn't be cure with one session but as I am seeing so far He would help me with my pain. He is very patient and listening to my problems. He was trying to help me come down . He was not rushing me to finish and go to the next patient. I am looking forward to see him in my next appointment . His secretary is very kind and professionally taking on phone and in person.

Horrible. He doesn’t listen to anything you say. He doesn’t remember anything from previous visits. Just horrible. He shouldn’t be practicing.

I didn't even read the reviews or anything, so i had no idea this guy was rated as of now a 2/5, I thought he was a horrible doctor the first time i saw him but i had a second appointment.

I went for my second appointment and that's when things really got heated, this guy tried to sell me a book and completely DISMISSED my ADHD diagnosis, the first time he lied and acted like he would help me and he had a drawer full of ADHD Stimulants. I am on Adderall and this has really changed my life, for once in my whole life i could focus, and my anxiety and panic attacks also are doing so-so much better, Adderall changed my life so much where i wanted to cry in happiness, i couldn't focus on even things i enjoyed and this has changed, now i could actually watch a movie or show and focus on it 100%.

You might be asking "Why did you go to him if you had a great doctor?" it's because this guy was suppose to know more about mental health, but my doctor who isn't a specialist for that is leagues ahead of this guy.

This guy told me Adderall would cause me more anxiety and depression, he did not listen to anything i said, I told him this and i am not kidding "I am on Adderall and it has extremely changed my life, my depression and anxiety symptoms are majorly better." you know what he said back to me? He said "A Stimulant will make you have more depression and anxiety" this man is a joke and the only help he was willing to give was a self help book, I AM SORRY BUT YOU CAN'T FIX ADHD WITH A BOOK, THIS IS A PROBLEM IN THE BRAIN.

Do not see this guy as he sees ADHD as a joke, I told him that if he wouldn't continue me on Adderall than i don't need him. He as many others said before me, screamed at me to get out of his office. I had no idea again that this guy was rated 2/5, that would have put this more into context, I was completely justified with what i said because i knew i was going to leave after and not come back. It is not his choice to take away a life changing medication for someone who actually has severe ADHD, my whole life i failed school, I couldn't pay attention to anything and no matter how much i tried, i couldn't do it and so i dropped out of school because of this. I would just sit in class and do nothing, i couldn't remember anything the teachers said because of my ADHD. How dare this guy make a joke about this, I have filed a complaint against him for this. My ADHD was ruining my life and causing so much depression, anxiety and it made me feel a huge emptiness inside of me, the huge emptiness is completely gone now. This man has no idea what he is talking about, as other people said all he wants is to tell his life story and nothing else. Anytime i would tell him something he would never answer, I would say multiple times about that i need a stimulant and i am unwilling to give-up on something that changed my life. He tried to tell me how i feel in my body? You are not me and you don't know how i feel inside and if you did you'd listen to what i told you. For someone who is depressed or has any issues, you don't be a jack you know.. you don't dismiss someone's condition, i am fully diagnosed with ADHD by a professional, and i showed it to him and i have every right to get the same help as everyone else who has ADHD and in my case it is severe ADHD further making this guy more of a jack.. you know.

Someone who treats a condition shouldn't scream and yell at you, he puts you down and makes you feel like an idiot. Someone who truly is there to help you is calm and cares about your wellbeing, this guy is like someone who dressed up as a psychotherapist for Halloween. Don't let this man put you down and make you even more depressed, if you are really depressed this guy will surely make it worse and make you feel like you are unfixable.

If you have ADHD like me, do not GO to this Guy i am one of you and i understand exactly what you are going through. You don't deserve this guy to throw a book at you and make-up nonsense, you need a stimulant like Adderall to help you focus because ADHD is caused by not enough stimulation. This guy deserves to be fired and i hope my report about him goes far to the board.

I left his office and i knew that i was never going back. You cannot tell me trash and expect me to accept it, without Adderall i hated living my life and i didn't want to live anymore, because as i said i couldn't focus on anything and ADHD caused a big emptiness within that has been cured. This guy wanted to take me off of something that gave me a purpose to live, and i just started Adderall 2 weeks ago so i am new to it and i can't give-up my life and go back to where i used to be. Esmail, I deserve to have focus in my life like everyone else, God created everyone to be meant to focus and for the people that don't God gave us stimulants, it isn't your choice to take away someone's focus. My Doctor told me that I needed a stimulant, he is glad that it is helping my ADHD.

The first few visits are ok. Because he wants to lure you in. Then the nightmare begins. I dreaded every visit. I cried after each visit. Trust the negative reviews. There's a reason there are so many bad ones. The 5 star reviews are fake. Don't be fooled. He is the worst. He just wants to sell medications to vulnerable people with no regard for your wellbeing. I hope the money is worth it Dr Arai, you are the worst doctor ever.

I really shocked when read the negative comments about him. But I want to guide people who need help. I had lived unaware having ADHD for 28 years, visited many doctors both Germany and Canada but nobody can diagnosed. The first time I visited Arfai, was crying and he listened to me carefully noted every details. After almost 1 year, I am the student who have top of grades in my class. I don’t know what other people experience with him but he saved my life. If you are seeking for help desperately can visit him. In addition, he never kicked me out of the office even I was high while talked with him in very impolite way during the session.

I had Dr.Arfai Back in 2015. Seem like he was too old to be a Dr. He tested me for my mental health really poorly. But he was a patent and would listen. His place is really small and it's hard to contact him or reschedule. The next time I visit him he didn't remember me or what I told him. He suggested higher med for depression and later wanted also to test me for ADHD. So he could prescribe me for more pills.

To me, he seems like a guy who didn't care about his job and just wanted to sell drugs to people to make a couple of more bucks. Thanks for this site I cant see I wasn't wrong about this dude. Glad I stopped visiting him after my third time.

I have a great experience from seeing Dr. Arfai. He changed the medication I was on to a much better one and has kept it under control. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, kind, and patient. He has always listened to what I had to say and he analyzed it correctly. Every time I had to deal with the office, they have responded quickly and professionally and my issues were always taken care of. Overall, I really like Dr. Arfai and I am very happy with the results.

I really didn’t want to write this review but
DO NOT GO to him even if there is no paychiatrist left in Toronto.
My mom has Bipolar disorder and she was pretty scared to make a change to any of her mesications but he did it anyways.
The worst part is, when my mom felt sick again and reached him out for help, he didn’t even remember the medications that he prescribed for her!!!!!!!!!!!
All in all, he is not what me and my family expected.
What a pity...
