Dr Sallie is a vital part of the medical team keeping me alive. He misses nothing. If you have issues with your stomach he is the Doctor you need to see.

Dr Sallie saved my life and that of my unborn child 20 years ago. I felt I had exhausted all options. He was so kind, compassionate and professional. Words are not enough but I will always be eternally grateful. He was very frank and did extensive research on my condition which he shared. He could not have been more helpful and I think and know he is a wonderful doctor and person.

Dr Richard Sallie is one of the kindest and most empathetic doctors I have ever met. He is also one of the hardest working. He saw my daughter for an urgent consultation at 6:30 at night, organised the tests she needed personally and started treatment for her liver issues that day. Cannot speak more highly.

At first was happy-I like my do for to be to the point, which he was. He was gentle during examinations and procedures. Did regular tests and always gave the scripts I needed, convenient appointment times and he was usually on schedule. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful.

Went to him with a pre-existing condition for which I’d had treatment and surgery in the UK. As these treatments were used for another condition in Aus,he then seemed to fixate on the fact I may have this instead, despite never being confirmed by biopsy. I had been told by my UK doctor I could have another surgery to further improve my condition but after a while it seemed like Dr Sallie was not interested in helping me to get this, and just kept prescribing me drugs that I had said I wasn’t sure were working. He assured me they were..

I had to come back to the UK for a while and saw my old gastro doctor who said those meds would never have helped me given the surgery I’d already had and so basically I’d spent hundreds of dollars for no reason. Following a biopsy result, I also got a referral to my surgeon here who has since performed the other surgery with no problems.

As nice as Dr Sallie is, I now feel I wasted a lot of time and money on a seeing someone who wasn’t doing the best for me. Maybe IBD isn’t his area of expertise, and if not I would rather have been told so I could see someone else.

Most interested, and interesting, Doctor I have ever visited. Took over an hour talking with me and was concerned by me as a person rather than a disease or collection of symptoms. So thorough he actually diagnosed my daughter's coeliac disease even though I didn't bring her with me. She was incorrectly diagnosed as "just constipated" At Fiona Stanly Hospital. Because of my problems, Dr Sallie took the time to write a blood request for my daughter that identified her coeliac disease, and now she's back at school and putting on weeight. My family is so grateful to him. A truly caring and brilliant doctor.

Prof Sallie is excellent and all his staff were great at their jobs and put me at ease. All was explained by him and a report handed to me before I left.

What a terrific doctor! Saved my life by diagnosing a heart condition I didn't know I had. Was referred to him because my liver tests were abnormal. He spent 45 minutes listening to my long list of problems, diagnosed my liver problem and started me on treatment that day. Then organised other tests that revealed and confirmed two other problems he suspected, including a major heart problem I didn't know about. He phoned a cardiologist during our second consultation and asked I be seen urgently. Could not speak more highly of Professor Sallie.

Dr Sallie is amazing. So thorough it was refreshing after what we had experienced previously. Would highly recommend him, his manner, his knowledge, the staff and his treatment was flawless in my eyes.
