Dr. Tollestrup is an outstanding surgeon. His manner is caring and humble, with huge respect for his patients. He worked with astonishing kindness and understanding with us and the case my daughter presented to him. His caring nature did not end with the surgery. He has continued his incredible support for my daughter's post-operation healing.

There are no words yet invented to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tollestrup.

My 15-year-old daughter suffered with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) for the past six years. The CRPS affected her right thumb and surrounding area.

Over those six years, we had tried every possible treatment recommended by her doctors and therapists where we live in Canada.

Since fall of 2022, she couldn’t cope the with pain anymore. She had NO quality of life and was not even able to leave her bedroom due to unberable nerve pain in her hand.

We contacted Dr. Tollestrup as a last hope for help in November 2022. She had a surgery in January 2023.

Within hours of recovering from the surgery, her nerve pain was gone.
We went from having no hope for a cure to having her healed, with practically no limitations in her activities.

Dr. Tollestrup gave my daughter her future back, and the rest of our family opportunity to replace our despair with happiness.

Tim Tollestrup, MD Won’t accept any kind of insurance as he thinks he is worth more than the allowable rates that most insurance companies reimburse! He thinks his services are worth $500 for an initial consultation! He in effect forces you to pay in cash the fee and then get reimbursed less or not at all from your carrier! 99205 is the CPt code and is less than the fee he demands! Tried to talk to office manager and they twist this as it’s the Fault of the medical rates that most doctors follow and is allowable! He has monopoly and is not following normal medical guidelines!

This surgeon is an absolute charlatan. “Reviewed” my case via email but his responses made it clear he had not read my case notes.
All major nerve surgeries are day surgeries (having had 3 at other hospitals this is outrageous.)
You are also asked you bring your own pain meds.
This guy is an absolute cowboy, running a business and that is a ruthless one.
Don’t be fooled by the BS self promotion on social media either.
Money, money, money. Who performs neurosurgery with BYO pain meds?
This guy. Avoid!

For five years I had been dealing with a condition that doctors had a hard time diagnosing called Meralgia Paresthetica. Seven weeks ago, I had surgery performed by Dr. Tollestrup to treat the condition. The staff at the office was excellent and once my documents were sent I got a speedy response from Dr. Tollestrup and his staff. I am from Canada, so I had some diagnostic testing first to confirm my condition. I flew into Vegas on Monday for an exam and consultation with Dr. Tollestrup. He answered all my questions and explained the surgery that I needed and was very knowledgeable about my condition.. The next day, I had surgery and everything went smoothly. He even noticed another nerve that was giving me problems and decompressed that nerve. Seven weeks after the surgery I am recovering well, I am not in pain and I am returning to the active lifestyle I once had. I highly recommend Dr. Tollestrup and his staff. Once I contacted his office, I had surgery 3 months later. As well, the surgery was affordable and he answered my questions during recovery. If you live in Canada and you have Meralgia Paresthetica and conservative treatments are not working to treat your symptons, seek treatment from Dr. Tollestrup.

This man is a hack. I rue the day I ever made contact with him and made the mistake of letting him cut into me. He made me so much worse. He has ruined my life. There’s nowhere to turn now. Most doctors look at me like I made a big mistake letting this scheister cut me and they have no answers because what he did is irreversible. Stay away!!!! He told me as he diagnosed me online, that I had a 99% chance of being significantly better. I am significantly worse! He keeps trying to tell me it’s all other things that have made me suddenly my worse, immediately after he cut into me. Blaming my inner ear (what? I never had an inner ear problem) , blaming my neck and claiming I have instability (what? That was ruled out by top neurosurgeons at top universities). No. He’s a bad, bad surgeon and a liar. Stay away!

I flew from Philadelphia to Vegas to have 3 times for consultation and 2 surgeries in Dr. Tollestrup's Henderson surgical suite (which he owns.). He talked a big game, and I was so elated after his exam when he said he could help me, I actually began to cry. The first surgery seemed to go ok, but he said I required a second surgery down my leg for the pain to go away. After the second surgery my calf swelled to bigger than my thigh. I contacted the office and after a week, I never heard back, called again, another week goes by and I decide to message Dr. Tollestrup directly. He tells me that I'm lying about my leg, and that I never called because his staff would've told him and that if I wasn't any better, I must be lying, and HE doesn't have these problems. After this, I began to recall that the Facebook groups that he uses for his marketing promptly removes any negative comments or struggles that people were having. He only lets the positive stuff come through. This is so deceiving, as people get excited to see all these great results. There is now a support group for the people he deceived and has hurt through his actions. The side dr Tollestrup 'fixed' is worse than ever. I fall on that side all the time, and I have little strength in it. His fragile ego has no room for things not to go as he expects. Such a shame that a doctor like Dr. Tollestrup ruins hope for people like me.

I had been suffering for a year with excruciating left side Sciatica pain. I went to numerous doctors, therapy, you name it, with no success. I found Dr. Tollestrup called set up appointment and was so very impressed had surgery next day. I had a great experience at surgical facility and was driving home day after surgery back to Texas. My pain has almost all diminished. I had surgery on 3/16/21. I am about 3 weeks out. As soon as first week pain was pretty much gone! I really think he is a top notch peripheral nerve surgeon. He is worth ever penny!
