As the other reviewers say, Dr. quinton is not compassionate and she gives off the impression that she does not care. My family and I have been understanding for the 7-10 years of care that she has provided a family member, however, knowing what I know now, I wish that we had switched oncologists at the beginning rather than wait until the case was “too late”. The way that your appointment will go largely depends on her mood; is she sympathetic today? Is she patient today? 80% of the time, the answer is no. She is usually quick to be demeaning, my family member has said that Dr. Quinton had made her feel so bad like she was a bad person and had bad judgement. She is condescending and tells patients “they will die”. There are some doctors that should stick to research and non-patient-facing avenues and I, as well as many others, believe that dr. Quinton is one of those doctors. She should not be allowed to speak to patients and ruin their will to live as she has been doing. Otherwise, just retire early! She does not seem to like her job and in turn, her patients don’t like her.

I liked Dr Quinton very much. She helped me understand the reason for my symptoms and gave me solutions how to deal with them. It was clear that she had many years of experience. I saw her only because my regular Oncologist was not available but I would be very happy to be her patient permanently. I can’t understand the critical reviews at all.
I had an excellent experience.

Absolutely no empathy from this Dr. all she kept saying each time she would visit my mother - *you're going to die. My mom had stage 4 cancer of the gall bladder. I will never forgive for how she spoke - uncaring, malicious and downright obnoxious. Avoid this Dr. if your loved one is diagnosed with life threatening cancer - she's horrible. I would actually rate her zero!

No compassion, no help. Just wants to get out the room. If we ask her staff any questions, they say wait for Dr. Quinton. When we ask her, she often avoids the question or says there's nothing we can do. Would expect better from a medical expert. Strongly advise against seeing this doctor if you want to treat your cancer seriously, as it should be treated. She often leaves the room before we have asked our questions. She is not invested in this at all. I understand it can be stressful for her, but it's even more stressful for the family. If she cannot handle this job and thrive at it, she should choose another profession. Very disappointing.

Hearing you have cancer is devastating. Dr. Quinton was berating at times, uncaring, accusing, no compassion, condescending, rough, no care attitude. Did not try to help. She couldn’t wait to say nothing else could be done. Dr. Wan, added another year to life. He took the time to help. So very caring.

I really wish that I could give Dr. Quinton a better review, but I just can't. Getting diagnosed with cancer is one of the most shocking, terrifying and confusing times in a person's life. You need help, direction and compassion, especially from your physicians - and most of all, from your oncologist. I found Dr. Quinton to be extremely rushed, disorganized, lacking in empathy, and critical. She constantly interrupted me in her rush to get out the door. I felt scolded on occasion for side effects I had from chemo ... like she didn't want to hear about any 'problems', just good news. I often felt berated, as if I were a little child, for not dealing with the side effects as she thought I should. Cancer, chemo ... it was all very new to me, and I was doing the very best I could during an extremely stressful time in my life. I am a very polite person who had gone to great lengths to 'connect' with her, to no avail. I always left the office feeling upset, which is not how you should feel after seeing your oncologist. Everyone else that I have dealt with - from the technicians to my surgeon - were excellent with me, and I am most upset that I have had this experience with the doctor that should have been the most empathic, kind and warm of all.

Best oncologist EVER!! She has been my doctor for 10 years and I cannot praise her enough. A doctor who calls you on the weekend to tell you that an ultrasound you had was fine... just so I wouldn’t be worried!!

Dr. Quinton is remarkable. She sets an example how Drs should conduct themselves. Professional, knowledgeable and most of all companionate. She took excellent care of my brother and now took me under her wing as I am almost finished with extensive treatment for breast cancer and I’m doing well.
Her assistant Darlene is personable, knowledgeable and hands on.
The whole Sherway oncology staff is great and hardworking!
