Mine and my family's experience with Dr Schmidt has been very poor, does not focus or address your concerns (nice person) but as a provider would not recommend. Have had to seek medical care elsewhere after seeing her within a few days on several occasions. Would not recommend this provider to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schmidt for many yrs. Since the practice was taken over by Lovelace getting an appt, w/Dr. S is difficult. Lovelace has cut hrs. on the westside trying to force us to accept their "rules." Unfortunately not only is seeing preferred dr. almost impossible, Dr.S is frazzle, too.

I had a pinched nerve. I was not able to get in with my primary care doctor for a few months so I took the soonest appointment available which was with Dr. Schmidt. When she came into the room she was very short and asked me why I wasn’t seeing my primary. When I tried to explain my current issue, I was cut off and told in a condescending manner that I should see my regular doctor. When I told her I could not take a certain type of medication (due to a contraindication), I was told “well what do you want me to do? Tell me what you want.” I tried to continue to explain my problem and was told “You know what, a lot of MY patients are trying to get in to see me, and I am here dealing with this”…I was stunned. She did not even offer to perform a physical exam. As I left the room, she made a snide remark that “this is the problem with scheduling”. As a medical professional myself, if I ever talked to a patient that way I would be fired. It is unacceptable to treat patients in this way. This visit was a waste of my time, my pain was not resolved, and thankfully the manager refunded my copay. I will never have a visit with Dr. Schmidt again.

I was referred to Dr. Schmidt because my previous PCP left her practice. I was very disappointed in the time spent with me, wrong prescriptions written and the response when I had a negative reaction to the prescription she wrote. The lack of caring shown by her and her practice was shocking. I won't go back.

dr shmidt is a kind person and good dr if you are of normal health. being a sick person, she has been unable to properly treat me many times and it has led to serious complications. she also refused to give me refferals i needed because of her stubborness and unwillingness to listen. again she is overall a good family dr, however if you are ill long term, dont put your life in her hands.

I was assigned to Dr. Schmidt because my former primary care left. First meeting with Dr. Schmidt was great. Look forward to having her as my doctor. She was very thorough and asked about how I was feeling on my medications. Had good suggestions also.

Have seen Dr. Schmidt for several years. She is always very pleasant and takes the time to listen. She has always seemed professional, yet friendly. She never gives the impression that she is too busy.

Dr. Amy Schmidt was my wife's doctor when my wife and I were first dating, and she's taken care of me for the last 11 years. She spends time with us in our visits and really helps us understand what's going on. She's kind and compassionate, but incredibly smart and professional as well. When we've needed specialists, she makes sure that we know the names of good people - she's never steered us wrong. I've had doctors as good as Dr. Schmidt before, but I've never had a better one!

I was referred to Dr. Schmidt through family. We all see her! She is very friendly, and most importantly, she takes her time during the visit.I definitely recommend her.
