I have finally decided to switch to a different pediatrician who respects me and my time. She was my children's doctor for about 3 years. She was late to every appointment, usually at least an hour. In one instance, I waited an hour as she finished up with her previous patient. Then she literally left the office without saying a word. Didn't even look in our direction, just walked out the door. Her admin assistant then comes over to apologize and explains that Dr Bartlett had to leave and that I should reschedule, one hr past my appointment time. During my last visit, although the staff switched the appointment 3 times, I confirmed the day before. Took time off work, picked up my child from school and drove over 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, I asked the staff if she'd see us soon only to find out that she wasn't even there. After my prompting, they called her and she claimed she didn't realize that she had an appointment at this hour and would be another 15 minutes. We waited almost an hour and she never showed. I told the staff that I was done and would not reschedule since this wasn't the first time this happened. Not even an apology or offer to pay for my parking. Absolutely the worst!

Dr. Bartlett is by far the worst medical “professional” I’ve ever dealt with. She will belittle you and criticize every single detail of your parenting. Expect minimum effort as you will get very little help or direction for your child. I know a few other parents who have dealt with her, and all have either switched to a new paediatrician or are in the process of switching. Please, for the sake of your child, stay away from her!

Initial exam was very thorough. My daughter was sent for some test and then we had a follow up appointment. When she reviewed the case, it was as if she never talked to us or examined my daughter. Dr Bartlett Was very condescending. Was told if there was a flare up of her condition that we should call immediately. We did 2 days later . No one returned our phone calls for 2 weeks.
Turns out that she completely misdiagnosed my daughter. Thankfully we did not feel confident with her diagnosis. We listened to our gut instinct. We took our daughter to the ER at rvh. Within minutes the dr was confident he knew what was going on...he confirmed his diagnosis with some tests. As soon as the results were in ...Within a few hours... my daughter was taken in for emergency surgery. My daughter is now thankfully recovering from surgery. If it wasn’t for a dr at rvh who truly listened to her, took her seriously...my daughter may not be with us today.

It has taken me four years to write this review as it is a hard one. Very nice Dr however don't be afraid to advocate for your child as you need to with this doctor. my daughter had a history of stomach issues and bladder issues. My first warning should have been when she went away on vacation that the other doctor who took over was finally the one that put her on the proper medication ,changed her medicine ,had us thicken my daughters milk so that she wouldnt choke any more and was just about ready to put a G-tube when the medicine finally started to work. she said had it been her patient my daughter would have been on a G-tube already that's how I frail my daughter was at this point. Thankfully after seeing this doctor when dr. Bartlett was away my daughter did start to improve in regards to her stomach and we finally got a referral down to sick kids which is something dr. Bartlett would not give us. A couple of years later after my daughter had been having repeated trouble with her bladder, which doctor Bartlett called inconsistent voiding. I brought my daughter into her office one morning completely lethargic wasn't even able to open her eyes and dr. Bartlett did not even touch her, didn't check your temperature or anything just wanted to continue talking about her inconsistent voting and what we needed to do and when I asked her she was going to do about this. (pointing to my daughter limp in myarms) she said take her home and let her sleep .I said "she's been sleeping for 13 hours straight she's very sick" she continued to tell me to take her home and let her sleep some more. As she slid the door to the waiting room close I started to cry and said in a louder tone of desperation "how sick does my daughter have to be before you do something". From there I went right over to another hospital where they brought my daughter in immediately with 104.7 fever and she was in distress they hooked her up to IVs immediately grabbed the blood test where they realize she was having some sort of infection but weren't sure what kind. So they started two different antibiotics to try to stop whatever bacteria was in my daughter's body. Overnight even though she'd already been on antibiotics at this point for 12 hours she got worse to the point where she was no longer responsive. Day 4 of her not being responsive the doctor said that they've done everything that they could and either my daughter would start responding to medications and get better or she would go into shock and she would die. The blood work at this point stated that my daughter had sepsis she had a severe blood infection. My daughter did not wake up for another two days after that. Thankfully she was finally responding to medicine but the doctor had told us that had we listened to dr. Bartlett and took my daughter home to nap she definitely would not have made it, the medicine would not have had a good chance to work before the infection took over. She's a very nice doctor but when it comes to Serious matters I feel that she does not take the time to think about what really is going on and only looks at the surface of problems. In this case she was purely negligent.
Thank goodness for my mommy and nurse instincts or my daughter would not be here.
Oh yes and her bladder issues ended up not being inconsistent voiding as dr. Bartlett had so many times told us ,it was actually something called a Urachal Remnant which means her umbilical cord never disintegrated at Birth and from the inside was still attached to her bladder therefore was sending basically garbage into her bladder which was causing all of the kidney problems. please be aware of this and don't be afraid to speak up when you don't feel something is not being properly looked at.

Dr.Bartlett cared for our son when he was admitted to the RVH. She listened to our concerns and answered our questions--patiently and thoroughly. She saw him numerous times a day during the beginning of his stay, even returning at 930pm one evening to touch base with the night nursing staff. She is wonderful with children (you would think this is a given with pediatricians, but unfortunatley it's not always the case). She also brought my son on as a patient after discharge to ensure we received the local support necessary as we needed to attend Sick Kids as well. An amazing doctor--RVH is lucky to have her!
