Very knowledgeable. I have heard she is one of the best for breast cancer reconstruction with implants. To date I am not super happy with my surgery results. One looks great, but the other has a huge pit/divot in the side where my ribs are. They are lopsided, my nipple (kept my natural nipples so happy this worked) is considerably higher then the other one, one implant is slipping below the breast line scar and that same breast keeps migrating to the centre of my chest. I am still in the process of finalizing my reconstruction with one more surgery. So I hope to be more satisfied.

I have had three or four in person appointments- each have been a minimum is 2 HOUR wait times. I find this almost intolerable. I understand that there are so many people on this planet that need care, and there are only so many doctors that do this kind of work but why not have a system of alerting patients of current wait times so you know when to show up?

Been waiting over two years for breast implant revision. So depressing. She may be knowledgeable but unfortunately her waits times leave a lot to be desired. I would not recommend her unless you don’t mind waiting for two or three years.

Excellent doctor. Kind and assuring. Professional team. Casted and bandaged repaired region well.
Operated on as scheduled. It was two weeks after initial assessment at Burnaby Hospital, which I think is actually relatively short. Injury was type that could wait for surgery so that higher risk patients could be treated first, which I was fine with, of course.
Staff are nice and pleasant to speak with over phone and in-person. However, I was not informed about things nor requested additional info in a timely manner.
All-in-all good experience. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Nelson.

I am leaving a rating in hopes to help others. Dr Nelson is very nice and friendly, she takes time in her appointment with you. Unfortunately this means there are ALWAYS very long (2 hour) wait times with appointments Her wait list time is not accurate I was told 8-12 months and had surgery 22 months later. There is a very accurate government site to view wait times I highly recommend checking it out before making your decision. I am satisfied with my surgery however not completely symmetrical, but maybe that’s the way these surgeries go.

Very unhappy with the results from a double mastectomy with direct to implants. I wasn’t told I had other options for reconstruction. I have major dog’s ears/wings which apparently if I want removed are not covered by MSP as I am advised that’s it’s a cosmetic procedure. I’m so uncomfortable. My implants need a revision as one is bigger then another and now I’m told she is so busy that I have to wait a year for this surgery. Not pleased whatsoever. One can’t call her to discuss as the receptionist hardly ever answers the phone and if you leave a message it is never returned. Having cancer is bad enough one should not have to deal with these other problems with such a lack of empathy

She ruined my moms vision of reconstruction after three rounds of antibiotics to help her implant take. Rebecca ended up removing it in her office right there. No pre time, no compassion and no after care for two weeks after the initial reconstruction. Horrible! In for the money.
