Dr. Erik Lam, did a successful operation. He is the best out there. He was able to remove a stone out of my bile duct. I had suffered from pancreatitis twice really bad, and almost died in intensive care. Besides those two, I had five more attacks, not as strong, but really painful. Dr. Lam performed surgery, that another dr. couldn't do, because he was not able to remove the stone. His bedside manners are amazing. He is a warm person, and really listens, and answers all your questions. He is like a God in his field, and never sees you as a lesser being. He has lots of patience, with his patients.

Dr. Lam performed my first ever colonoscopy earlier this month. I was very apprehensive but he was so understanding, patient and professional that I was immediately put at ease. The procedure was quick and painless. I was given a clean bill of health. Many thanks to Dr. Lam and his excellent team.

I had my first consultation today with gastroenterologist, Dr Eric Lam, regarding a collection of pancreatic cysts which showed on my MRCP scan. Prior to the consultation, I was worried and fearful, after having read about the low survival rate of pancreatic cancer patients.

The detailed consultation, with Dr Bedi (who assisted Dr Lam) as well as Dr Lam himself, provided me with a clear understanding of my medical issue and clear knowledge of next steps. Both doctors took time to ask about my medical history, listen to all my concerns, and explain their diagnosis and follow up options. At no point during the lengthy consultation did they rush me. Their in-depth professional expertise, clear communication, and enormous patience in answering all my questions put me at ease. At the end of the consultation, I felt reassured and grateful to be in the hands of two highly capable and caring doctors.

Thank you very very much, Dr Lam and Dr Bedi - both of you certainly embody the highest ideals contained in the Hippocratic Oath!

I've had two colonoscopies with Dr Lam (aged 50 and 60), both without any sedation as he is so skilled. It was an absolute breeze, no discomfort whatsoever. Both he and his assistant and team are outstanding: calm, skilled, not rushed. He explained what we were seeing on the live action screen and was very professional. I highly recommend Dr Lam and his team for a really positive colonoscopy experience.

I was diagnosed with achalasia and required the POEM procedure. Since this is not done in Alberta, I was referred to Dr. Lam. I am very satisfied with his care. Everything went very well and I was discharged the next day. Once I returned to Alberta, he called me to make sure I was still doing well. He called me the week after to follow up and answer my questions. It has been two weeks since the procedure and I am doing great!

Dr. Lam, was very informative described the entire procedure and any follow up required before the operation. He followed up after the procedure to tell me what to expect. He again followed up the next day to make sure I was doing okay. He then followed up a few days later with the biopsy results and what future follow up’s would be done. I feel very good that I was taken care of well and in great hands.
