Unfortunately I had a poor experience. From the moment the appointment began, Dr. Leith was only interested in one of the symptoms he read about in a file from the referring physician. He repeatedly cut me off when I tried to explain my other symptoms. I was restricted to responding to questions about one symptom only, in a few words or less. I was not being long winded, but not all answers can fit into a few words or yes/no replies. He wasn’t just brusque or displaying a less than optimal bedside manner, he was framing my responses to limit them so severely that he never obtained a complete picture. That is not good medicine. Effective doctors listen to patients and try to collect all needed information before deciding what is or is not relevant because that’s the basis for a proper diagnosis. I was not treated respectfully, I was not listened to, and I believe an accurate diagnosis could not be reached under those circumstances. There is no valid reason for him to treat me or any other patient so poorly. I have asked my family physician to recommend a better allergist.

I saw Dr. Leith and I can honestly tell you that he is the worse doctor I have ever seen. He is ruth, uninterested in your problems, does not allow you to say why you are there and only reads the notes from the referring doctor. He is condescending (I am a woman). I have never been so frustrated after a doctor's visit and left the office crying. He did not give a dam about my condition because my allergies to toilet paper chemicals are in my private area. He is too old to be practice. Do the community a favor and retire.

Had a terrible experience with Dr. Leith following a bee sting that put me in the ER.... although he got no definitive result of what stung me, he started me on-anti venom therapy for wasps and other insects just because testing showed I had been previously stung by them ...following the second treatment I had a bad reaction and my bp shot through the roof and I collapsed, he panicked and started accusing me of taking undisclosed medication that day .. the nurses had to push him away from me ... he eventually came back to see how I was in the ER and then took off to Women’s College, .. I never saw him again. He seriously needs to retire ...

I was a bit concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, but after meeting him, I can say without any reservation that I found Dr. Leith as a thorough professional and have no reservation in recommending him.

We were referred to him from our primary care physician and waited a couple months. Unfortunately, the wait was not worth it. If you're looking for a physician focused on the quality of care, I would steer you into another direction. While his staff was quite pleasant, Dr. Leith was direct, condescending and rude during the visit. I guess if he doesn't need to see you for future visits (just an allergy test), the "patient needs" are of low priority. Be aware that hospital parking is expensive too.

As many have said he’s very abrasive doesn’t listen to you speak very old school by the book. Has his questions in his mind head down writing on paper won’t let you elaborate or get any more information in. Talks over you. Doesn’t tell you what he’s testing for then when the test is done he sounds off on all the things but everything is so quick you have no real idea. I left the apt feeling like he didn’t listen to all my symptoms and take my concerns into consideration. I wouldn’t recommend him. I’m going to get referred to another allergist hopefully get more answers with a doctor that takes time to actually listen to all your concerns. He should retire.

Thank God for Dr. Leith! He was the third specialist that I saw for my allergies and the only one that correctly diagnosed me. For many years I suffered from allergies reactions. Some anaphylaxis reaction, many visits to the emergency. There they would tell me that it was all in my head. One of the Drs even send me to see a psychologist thought he didn't find anything wrong with me. Then when I move out of town, I asked my then dr to refer me to one of her colleagues closer to my new place. She suggested me to see Dr Leith. He was very professional, polite & straight forward. After a few visits and carefully examined me, he the suspected that I might have MCAS. He send me for a second opinion which was confirmed. Most Drs don't even know what that is. Thanks to Dr Leith we now know how to treat .

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! This doctor is dated, umcompromising, and rushes to get you out. I am sure I have a food allergy but he doesn't would not listen and kept asking "WHAT?" when I spoke. He tried to speak over and correct me and did not solve the issue. Told me he hopes my symptoms "BURN OUT" and not to take Advil anymore until it does. I need an EPI-PEN until my allergic reactions are resolved from my family doctor (who will refer me somewhere else). Told this to a coworker and she advised her sister went through the same terrible experience.
