She should have Never become a doctor. She was emotionally abusive to my wife, she did everything in her power to label my wife as "drug seeking", "bi-polar", and she even conspired with other quack physicians to go along with her. If the devil was looking online for the perfect bride, she would be the one. Dr. Kathy Cardinal is heartless, calculating, and totally self-serving.

Never met a more compassionate or caring human being on this planet. I’ve had Dr Cardinal for two pregnancies now and have always well cared for by Dr Cardinal (and the rest of the doctors in her group are great too!). I am also a nurse and specifically chose her as my primary doctor as i had only great interactions with her on a professional level. As a patient she is even more amazing! I joke with my husband I want to keep having more babies so I never have to say goodbye to her. Thank you Dr Cardinal!

By far the best doctor I have EVER had.
Disregard the butthurt "nurse". She should know the standards for how to care for baby are evolving and changing all the time. OBGYN's have been strictly against pacifiers for nearly a decade now. Not to mention, Dr Cardinal is ON CALL with a handful of other doctors on her team. If she didn't come deliver you, she was probably on call, delivering another baby. First come first serve in labour and delivery. I would expect more understanding from a "nurse"

Anyhow. This woman, she delivered all three of my babies. She is incredibly knowledgeable, not judgemental or biased against people or their situations, you can spend as much time asking as many questions as you'd like. She never makes you feel rushed, never brushes off your concerns.

When we had a scare with my last daughter, she sat and hugged me and assured me that no matter the outcome, she would be there getting me through it. And she was. She goes beyond the scope of being a spectacular doctor, she is a spectacular human being and has shown it many times over. I can't say enough good of her. I just hope I an lucky enough to have her as my doctor one more time!

Thank you for everything Dr. Cardinal

I had Dr Cardinal for my first pregnancy. I felt throughout my pregnancy that she was competent and caring however when I delivered my opinion of her changed. I saw her for my weekly check- up at 39 weeks and she said I was dilated 2-3 cm so she stripped my membranes which I asked her to. She acted when I left her office that she might be seeing me tonight. Even though she wasn’t on call she acted like she would come in for me. When I started seeing her as a patient she said she would try to be there for me because I was a nurse. I thought she would make the effort. Either way, my daughter was delivered the next morning by the doctor on call with no issues. She never came to check on me that day or the next day before I was discharged at noon.
About ten days after my daughter was born, her jaundice became worse so I called the clinic to see if they could see us. They got us in quickly which I was happy about. I didn’t know what hell I was in for. Before Dr. Cardinal came in we had given my daughter a pacifier because she was crying from being stripped naked and weighed. She scolded me and my husband that every suck from a babies mouth at this age should be for milk alone. WTF. She assessed my daughter and said her jaundice was so bad that the only way to help was breastfeeding. I had been breastfeeding exclusively to this point with no issues whatsoever. She insisted I should try ‘laid back breastfeeding’ and have my daughter lay on my naked chest and root to my nipple. Are you kidding me?!
At this point I was so humiliated laying in a chair with my breasts exposed while this crazy lady tells me to nurse my daughter like this every 2 hours for the next 72hours. She said I couldn’t leave the house or do anything until her jaundice improved. My daughter had no issues feeding and drank what I felt was sufficient. Dr Cardinal kept forcing me to try and wake her up to drink more and be more persistent. I was so frustrated and stressed during the entire visit. She also made us cancel our newborn photo session and made us feel guilty about wanting to get photos done.
After an hour plus of her going on about breast feeding her way she examined my daughter and took everything back that she said. She said oh dear her jaundice doesn’t look bad now and her tummy is full. She must have drank more than I thought. She completely backtracked on everything she said. As we were leaving she gave me her number to call her tomorrow with an update. When we got to the car I had a complete meltdown about everything. It had been such an awful experience and she criticized how I had been feeding my daughter when in the end everything was fine. I was so upset with all the hormones I just wanted to stop breastfeeding altogether.
The next day my daughter was looking better so I told her so. Get this, Dr. Cardinal said ‘oh I’m sure she will be fine’ you don’t need to come to your two week check because I saw her and everything will be good!’ Are you kidding me? One second she is worried that my daughter has to be glued to my breast the next she doesn’t need to see us again?!! I never went back to Dr. Cardinal again.
I have no words to explain the frustration I felt and still feel nearly 2 years later. I breastfed my daughter exclusively for 18 months no thanks to Dr Cardinal. I am pregnant again and she will not be my OB. She is a quack!

Dr Cardinal is an excellent doctor. She is very helpful and takes the time to listen to her patients. Although I did need a emergency c-section during the time Dr Cardinal was not on duty, she still made me feel as a priority and assisted during the surgery. I highly recommended her and her team.

Dr. Cardinal is the best by far! Only thing is I wish babies were delivered by the same doc you see in pregnancy not the on call schedule. Dr. Cardinal listens and cares. Truly a gem of a person.

I cannot say enough. I didn't think I'd ever be able to nurse my daughter until meeting with Dr Cardinal. She is so calming, gentle and informative, she truly made me feel at ease. At first she got my little one nursing with a nipple shield, which I wasn't able to do at first. Then a few weeks later she got her nursing directly on me. I could have cried I was so happy. I've already recommended her to friends. Wonderful doctor.

Absolutely amazing doctor, so professional, explains everything clearly. She takes her time and is very thorough. She genuinly cares about you and your well being and wants to be involved. She wasnt the Dr on-call when i was in labour but she heard that i was in the labour ward when she was in the hospital for another reason. She came into the labour room whilst i was in the midst of the drama of pushing the baby out, it took more than 45minutes but she was holding my hand, helped holding one of my legs back, soothing me, encouraging me to push and giving me tips.. i was stressed with it being my first labour but as soon as she came into the room with her warm reasuring face i was more relaxed. That night when i was alone with my baby in the maternity ward she came in to my room, just to give me a hug and see how i was doing. She checked on the baby and reassured me he was just perfect. She didnt have to do that it was on her own time but she genuinely cares about her patients. I was welling up after my 6 week post baby check up because it would be the last time i saw her before i go back to my regular GP. Her receptionist Cherlynne can seem stand offish, but is on the ball and knows her stuff. She is so so busy with all the patients but she really has her sh*t together.
