He abused his position MANY times while I was a patient at the IWK...alway lying to my mom saying I wasn't well enough to be released so he could whisk me to his research lab without anyone's knowledge and experiment...Some invasively...while others watched.
I was 6 years old!!!

We are looking for a diagnosis for our son. We met with Dr Welch in November at which time he informed us he was confident in a diagnosis but to provide bloodwork to confirm it. He estimated 6-8 weeks for an answer and told us to call if we have any questions. As the weeks passed, we started wondering what the results were and at 6 weeks I called and left a message inquiring the results. No response. Over the next 2 weeks, I left a number of messages asking him to return my call and let us know what was happening with the test results. Still, no answer. At 9 weeks, I called and was irrate that we had still not recieved a call back. I talked to my pediatrician who contacted him, informed us the results came back negative. He ordered another round of tests to see if the first was negative in error. After 6 weeks, I called again, looking for results from the test. Still nothing. It's now the end of March and he still has not spoken with us. Needless to say, we're moving on to a new Dr !!
