In response to the comment below, my staff are not able to supervise unattended children. We cannot be responsible for them if they run off and we certainly cannot leave kids sitting in our hallway with other patients going in and out of rooms . This patient had curiously not disclosed the fact in her posting that she was late for her appointment and then actually asked my staff to watch her children after being advised on the phone of our policy prior to her appointment when she advised us of her childcare coverage concerns.
We offered to reschedule her appointment to a day more suitable to her schedule but she insisted on arriving with three children in tow. I’m sorry we are not able to accommodate everyone’s needs when it comes to their kids during pelvic exams but we have to be able to perform our jobs focusing on taking care of our patients, not providing childcare. I love delivering babies but that does not preclude me from having to maintain a professional working environment.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Sparkes and her team. I was in new in US and was recommended by my uncle. His decision was best. I'm so glad we chose her. Would recommend to anyone who asks me and will be coming back.
Her staff is friendly and sweet. Was really nervous as a first time but on my first appointment was greeted by the nurse Angie and after that I was looking forward to my appointments :)
I was induced 3 weeks prior to my due date because I had cholestasis. Her decision was best to induce me at 37 week, was really happy with her decision. Everything went smooth.

Love this doctor, very professional. Spends time with each of her patients. If you have a concern, she will not rush you, she will listen to your concerns. Yes, she does run behind at times, but imagine the amount of time she spends with each person and she is an OB! I'd want her to be there for the next person's delivery, and I don't mind the wait when she goes to deliver. Each person gets the same treatment and she tries to always be available for deliveries. I could not imagine another provider for me. She is amazing and so is her staff!

Not sure what that last comment was about but this doctor takes time with her patients, addressing concerns especially with those who need more time. Most people don’t understand that OBGYNs are dealing with emergent situations all the time. Next time it could be me. Her nurses are very empathetic and are very kind when addressing concerns on the phone. I highly recommend Dr Sparkes and her staff!!!

Don't recommend. Very hurried when it comes to seeing her patients. Acts like she is listening but doubtful she really is. It took several phone calls and multiple visits to be diagnosed with round ligament pain - something benign in her mind but for an expectant mother is uncomfortable and terrifying. No education as to what it is - just a "deal with it" attitude.

Very genuine and seems to truly care about her patients. My care was transfered to a high risk OB around 26 weeks so I can't speak to the delivery experience but her bedside manner is excellent and she is very thorough. The only downside is the wait time, it was always over an hour before I was seen, but even then she took her time with me to answer concerns and it never seemed rushed. Office staff is helpful and friendly also. Just be prepared to always wait, so bring snacks! That's the downside of a well liked OBGYN!

This is Dr Sparkes and I'm responding to the last comment claiming that I coerced her into a csection and other malicious claims. There were medical concerns leading to the decision to deliver which occurred in the middle of the night so I'm not sure how I can be accused of rushing someone's labor because it's getting late in such an instance. I would appreciate hearing from you directly to discuss this further because I care about my patients and the care I deliver. If there are experiences that could have been improved on, it would be more productive to let us physicians know either by discussing with us personally or with our office manager rather than lashing out like this. Thank you!
Respectfully,
Dr Sparkes

She coerced me into having a c section because it was getting late at night. Every visit, i was seen at least 45 minutes after scheduled time but the one time I showed up 5 mintues late, i was forced to reschedule. I too was almost dismissed by the office manager because i spoke to a nurse in the lobby when she was bringing another patient to the back. I was only trying to see if this day was going to be the usual hour + wait because I was very hungry from sitting in the hospital for 6 hours due to preterm contractions, which she was aware of. I was made to feel worry and concern throughout my entire pregnancy, rather than empowerment and excitement. She seems to be someone who looks at her patients with dollar signs in her eyes and a stomach to cut open. Sorry not sorry.

I have been going to Dr Sparkes for the past 7 years. I first visited her to do a procedure after learning my former doctor was not going to be covered by insurance and she came highly recommended. Since then, she has done all of my annual exams and did all prenatal visits and the delivery of my first baby. I was thankful for her professionalism, care, and honesty through it all, including a difficult pregnancy and very long labor. For annual appointments, they always ran super behind but she was almost always on time for my prenatal apppointments.
