She has particular expertise in diagnosis. No doctor could figure out why I was getting pneumonia so frequently. An other allergist said that I was too old to be getting an allergy. He inferred that it was in my head. Dr. Handelman listened carefully to my symptoms and figured out the problem. She has now been successfully treating me for years.

We took our son to many doctors over a 6 year period to find out why he kept breaking out in hives. No one could tell us. Dr. Handelman figured out that he has PMLE, an allergy to the sun, referred us to a specialist that could officially diagnose this condition, and then treated him for the PMLE. The specialist said that "there is nothing you can do except stay inside". Because of Dr. Handelman my 12 year old son now has a life. He is active, plays sports, and most importantly is happy.
