It appears as though Dr. Guan has changed his admin team. I’ve had a great experience at the office and have not had any issues reaching the office of having a call back when told I would. Dr. Guan is very thorough and meticulous. I know I am in good hands with him.

I am sure Dr. Guan is highly competent as a doctor. However, as an administrator he leaves much to be desired, which puts patients in a difficult position. His office is a nightmare. Staff neither answer nor return calls. When I noted at our first in-person meeting that it took many voicemails left over a period of months before anyone returned my calls, he blamed his patients - they just keep calling, and there are so many calls staff can’t return them. And so, he told me, since I was complaining about it, he would solve the problem by removing his answering machine. Which he did. Now you get a message that if no one answers, call back again another time. Took me 12 calls over two days to get through.
And even appointments aren’t reported to patients. Twice I had to call after waiting weeks for a promised call with a date, only to find on both occasions that I was in fact scheduled for a procedure - but no one had bothered to tell me. And on the second occasion, when I attended at the scheduled time and date, I was told I couldn’t have the procedure because his staff had failed to book me in for an office visit first - and this after waiting almost four months after being told I would be called with a date. In front of a waiting room full of other patients, he proceeded to loudly blame me for the mixup, telling me that I should have known that an office visit is required first - something never mentioned by either him or his staff. When I suggested his staff was responsible for following his office procedures, he simply repeated over and over that it was all my fault.
I have run a professional office for over thirty years, and one thing I know is that you need to have enough staff, and properly trained staff, to keep clients and patients informed and aware of what is happening on their file. Any professional who claims that he and his staff are too busy to respond to patients is not doing a major part of his job.

Dr. Guan is wonderful if you can ever get through to his office. Waiting to hear back from his office has been horrible. Receptionist isn’t very helpful at all. Too bad his front line staff isn’t as good as he is a doctor.

I'm not able to get a hold of anyone at the office to find out about my appointment. The answering machine says to not leave a message since they don't check their messages and I've called many times. What century is this where people don't allow you to leave a message?

Dr Guan gave me my life back. I suffered endlessly with kidney stones. Was referred to Dr Guan, and within a month had surgery, and was back on my feet and leading a normal life. Dr Guan cares about his patients, and his works shows it.

Diagnosed my problem immediately and referred me to a Doctor in Kingson.
