Dr. Cowie is the man. He has done several colonoscopies on me and a successful cancer surgery. He has e done the same for my brother including cancer surgery. And my daughter had a colonoscopy with him and he was successful in removing growths from her as well. You should consider yourself lucky and in good hands if you are in the care of Dr. Cowie.

First, we are not related! I had a colonoscopy at Langley Hospital today.
From the moment I arrived, through the procedure and after, I was treated wonderfully. I had never had a colonoscopy, so was a little apprehensive.
No pain and over quickly.

He did my Inguinal Hernia repair with mesh. It was my first surgery and I was pretty worried. Dr. Cowie was very knowledgeable and answered any question I had. You can tell he really cares. Everything went as planned. It’s been 6 weeks since Surgery and I am now back to 100% with 0 issues. I could not imagine a better surgery experience. I’de highly recommend Dr Cowie and his team.

Dr. Cowie saw me in emergency. Recognizing I was only days away from complete sepsis and death, he rushed me into surgery. Dr. Cowie did not stop with just helping me through this event. He took the time, sat beside my hospital bed and asked questions until he found the cause. Dr. Cowie looked me in the eyes, (My wife and I were petrified & I was at my lowest point) and said "he heard me". He vowed to see me through this no matter how long. After all this time, I found a doctor who did not dismiss me, or see me as not worth his time. For 7 months Dr. Cowie performed several surgeries, visited me as I got IV Antibiotics, and constantly made sure I was progressing. I had weekly appointments with him, and he was at maximum patient load, so he squeezed me in between 6:30am and 7:30am every week. I would arrive at the office as he did. Over the Christmas holidays he called me at home to make sure I was okay! Anytime I had a question or needed help, I sent an email and he responded within hours! Dr. Cowie had no problem saying he didn't know what was wrong at first, and he never gave up researching until he found exactly the problem. The whole time he researched, he kept me in the loop, and continued to treat me. When he found the cause, he had never before done the surgery I required. Despite me saying I wanted him to do the surgery, he did not stop trying to find a surgeon who had performed this very specific surgery. Due to the pandemic, and the time factor in regards to my health, he could not find anyone. He agreed to do it. That is the sign of a great surgeon/doctor. He was not vain, but humble in the fact that there is knowledge out there he does not know. He did charge forth with my surgery like some cowboy out to save the day, but conscientiously tried to find the best care for me, his patient. I was happy with the surgical results of all surgeries he performed. The care after my final surgery did not suddenly drop off. He saw me for months after, until he was sure I was fully healed and healthy.
I could now talk about Dr. Cowie and his individual qualities, but I think I have made my thoughts and position clear with my story. If what I wrote has not convinced you of the fabulousness of this surgeon, then nothing will. With no hesitation or regret, I can vigorously recommend Dr. Scott Cowie.
