The worst neurologist doctor I have ever seen . Super rude , supercilious and arrogant person . I was referred to him from my family doctor for headache. In the room I was super uncomfortable and irritated when he was doing the examination on me in front of my husband . So rushed didn't listen to my concerns .I had severe reaction to medications he prescribed for me and had to go to emergency at Abbotsford Hospital. After sitting for 2 hours there, the emergency doctor came to me and said they have tried to call him many times to know what other medications I can take but he did not answering his phone. It was the worse and life threatening medical experience I have ever had in my life. The girl at his office is extremely rude and NEVER picks up the phone and always goes to answering machine. He definitely had lack of knowledge for the medications was prescribed . I saw another neurologist in Abbotsford hospital who surprised with medications I was taking and stopped all Dr.Punambolam's medications and gave me new medications.

WOW! is all I can say. I am so impressed with Dr. Punambolam, I am full of hope. I have never had a doctor that has taken so much time to examine me. I have had an MRI, another test by a different doctor and he has contacted me with the results. This was all within 2 weeks. He is looking for a surgeon and I just may have a normal life again. Will post again after surgery.

It was so nice to have a doctor who explained everything in a way that an average person could understand. He was also very kind and had a great sense of humour I felt so much better after I left his office.

I feel quite fortunate to have Dr Punambolam as my
Neurologist. I’m not sure why his staff receive negative reviews as they have always been extremely polite with me. When I was having an adverse reaction to a medication I was on, I left a message for him and received a phone call back promptly with the next course of action. He takes the time to explain the issue and I have never felt
rushed. Very punctual and I’ve often arrived early
And have been seen before my scheduled appointment time.

I feel lucky to have him as my headache specialist. My only issue is that sometimes I have to wait to get an appointment because he spends a whole week every month in the hospital but I understand that others need his help too!

This comment pertains to an event which happened around 2014. The drug prescribed for my wife had bad side-effects including personality changes. Neither the doctor nor his receptionist had any sympathy whatsoever for my wife and they both seemed uninterested to the problems that the drug created. His receptionist at that time was terrible. He did not handle the situation properly. My wife and I are both health care professionals.

As I met this physician in the hospital I cannot comment on his staff but I was very impressed by his knowledge and care in treating my TIA. Would recommend him to others requiring neurological care.
