Disappointed in this neurologist. I seen him a couple of months ago and he informed me that the pain that was under my big toe and sliding across to the second and third toe, with some tingling, was from peripheral neuropathy only. He had the MRI results right in front of him, that stated I had a fracture on the lateral sesamoid bone under my big toe, without a separation. I have been in so much pain since last July And have been walking on the side of my foot since then . Dr. Consentino had the MRI right in front of him and he diagnosed it the same as my physician as being peripheral neuropathy as well. However, when I went to see my orthopaedic surgeon a few days ago, he said the severe pain was exactly what the MRI stated and that its Not peripheral neuropathy but rather from the " fracture on the lateral sesamoid bone without a separation and cannot be operated on however, was told immediately to stay off my feet 100%, and use crutches or a knee scooter. My GP Physician also never addressed the fracture and told me 4weeks ago to walk directly onto the ball of my foot for five minutes Even when I have been telling him since last July or August, that I have had pain under the ball of my big toe and cannot walk and have been off work since the end of October. !! LOL unbelievable. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. Even I though when the MRI results came back mid December, when I read that sentence of the fracture, I knew right away that this was the pain under the ball of big toe. I now have crutches until my knee scooter comes in in a few days which I will then be off my foot for eight weeks. It was so bad last week I had bruising on top of all three toes. I found Dr. Consentino to be a friendly gentleman in person, and also was kind enough to call me back when I complained on his answer machine that I was in severe pain and needed more help. But 20 minutes on the phone doesn't compare to all the needless pain I've suffered without the proper recommendation and having to wait for him also for four months. He could have told me to stay off my feet when I seen him at the appointment but he didn't. So I suffered two more months until this week. Now I am sitting at home with my foot elevated and keeping off, Thanks to my orthopaedic surgeon and 'not' Dr. Consantino.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Costantino. After nearly 3 years of ongoing peripheral neuropathy worsening severely and recently landing me in emerg a few times, this Dr. ran nerve tests and extensive blood work that my previously family doctor and rheum had never done.. and has potentially diagnosed me with Celiac (showing as Neurological manifestations.) I do understand it is tricky, as my symptoms were/are ALL over the place. Once my blood work came in, Dr. Costantino called me at nearly 6:30pm to tell me his findings. Hew knew how upset I was having no answers and being in so much pain and I am SO thankful he called that night and worked late to tell me as soon as possible. He is also following up with me in a few weeks as well.
FINALLY a doctor who really listened!!! Thank you, Dr. Costantino.

Dr. Constantino is an amazing, knowledgeable, kind, and caring doctor. His receptionist has a welcoming smile the minute you walk through their doors. Dr. Constantino is so thorough but although I went to see him for one problem, he was able to diagnose multiple issues that I had. Although he only treats adults, I feel him to be superior in his field. I would highly recommend not only Dr. Constantino but his office staff for anyone fortunate enough to be referred to this amazing man.
