Dr. Shastri was extremely rude when she denied me health care when I went for an appt in excruciating pain. First she said she would give me an x ray, because I had chronic pain in my spine. then I was in so much pain, I said quietly that I was in so much F pain I couldn't stand it. Now any other pain doctor would understand the irritability of being in such pain, she got offended that I said the F word but NOT toward her, under my breath as to the extent my pain was in. I am in my 60's and she stormed out refusing to give me an x ray! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! What was her problem that day of the visit? To deny a patient regardless of how much pain they are in and how they word it is no reason not to carry on with the visit. DO NOT GO TO HER! She is a horrible person, as well as a doctor. Shouldn't be practicing and I plan on filing a former complaint.

At first I thought that Dr. Shastri was great. On the 2nd visit she didn't seem to get that I was really having a problem. I was now not able to walk & using a walker & wheelchair. She said go to PT (they couldn't fit me), see her in 4-6 wks. I saw her a 3rd time & she gave me an injection. Not effective. Visits 2 & 3, I spoke to her about my leg cold & foot numbness.She said it had nothing to do w/ my knee & to see my PCP. I saw an orthopedic surgeon instead who was concerned about temp. change in my leg & diagnosed me with CPRS/RSD. It is the reason I was having so much pain & numbness after 7 weeks post fall, & couldn't bear weight. If I am not better soon I need arthscopic, spinal x-rays, & see pain management. It has been 8 weeks now from when i fell. I wasted a lot of time w/ Dr. Shastri. Dr. Shastri had misdiagnosed me. One thing I do not like is that she tells you to make the decision. I want a doctor to tell me what I should do not, "if you want to", or "whatever you want".
