I saw Judy Pope for more than 2 yrs when I was suffering from anxiety, trauma, CPTSD. Now that I'm a bit older and more educated I can more accurately give a review.
This is the lowest level care you can get. She had no skill, no discernment.
There's a saying in the therapy world "you get what you pay for." Judy was working for the Sask Health Authority, therefore was "free". In her case, that saying is absolutely true.
For almost 2 yrs I stared at the walls in despair and she stared at me and I'd leave with no hope. That was her capability.
I would not recommend her at all. Unfortunately the poor and uneducated don't even know that they can request someone else or that there's actually people out there that have skill.

Incredibly old school, ineffective. I saw her about 20 times. I was so uneducated when I saw her.
What an embarrassment to the profession.

Judy was recommended to me through a friend and she worked with me for about 4 years. I went to her in desperation after suffering with depression and anxiety most of my life and finally falling to my rock bottom. Judy helped me find the root of my struggles, encouraged me to persist and helped me discover things that brought me life. Some of the strategies she uses might seem odd, however, she never forced me to do anything I was uncomfortable with and always asked if I was ok with the method she wanted to try. I went to her with intentions to change my life and I let her try anything she recommended. Not everything worked but through trial and error, we found things that did. With Judy's help, I am navigating through life much better and much happier. It is important to know that there is no quick solution to any problem and if you are serious about dealing with it, it is your responsibility. Judy is a resource to help you discover what needs to change and how you might do it

Judy is fabulous! I have PTSD & without her help I would've never got my life back. She's a very skilled & knowledgable therapist & has advocated for me on more than one occasion. LOVE her & highly recommend her!

Judy is the best counsellor I have every seen. She listens, advocates for you, is skilled in numerous therapies to help you. I have never encountered anyone like her. I have found the opposite of what the first post says - I have never had to chase her for a receipt and she has always responded to my emails and phone calls, in fact returning phone calls even when she was away. She has been absolutely amazing for me. I am grateful to have her in my life.

Judy pope is a very unprofessional psychologist, who rushed to diagnosing our son with anxiety before she had completed his testing. He has very severe dysgraphia. She also counseled mom and dad, forcing us to meet with her in person to get the report so she could charge us for the visit. She then charged all costs to our son after she had agreed that the counselling should be split amongst the 3 of us. The cost was high and over the limit my insurance company would pay. If u want to get in touch with her her mail box is always full. During her counselling session with our son, she had him bounce on a ball for an hour. All he got was a severe headache. The next session he slept thru while she talked to us about nothing. She promised to advocate for our son, but never did.If she does not give you a receipt when u pay u have to have to chase her to get one. We r having our son re-tested after giving her more than 1000.00 dollars due to lack of trust. A horrible experience

Judy is the most amazing counsellor I have ever seen. She is completely different from all other counsellors - kind, listens to YOU, immensely helpful. I can't recommend her enough.
