So incredibly happy I found Dr. Adel. After nearly 10 years of asking Doctors to perform a tubal ligation procedure for me, I finally found one who respected my decision as an adult and a woman. I was super nervous on the day of my surgery but Dr. Adels staff were so confident and kind to me. Recovery was fairly quick and 3 months out my post op incisions are fading quickly. I have no doubt by the end of the year you wont even be able to tell they are there. I continue to see Dr. Adel as my medical provider, and its always a pleasure seeing him. Seriously--i've tried other OBGYN's and NON of them treated me with the dignity and respect he has. I will forever be in his debt for taking me seriously when others wouldn't.

Dr. Adel is a fantastic gynecologist who made me feel comfortable and reassured during every visit. I couldn't recommend him more.

This is going to be a brutally honest review. If you're looking for a review on ABLATION and TUBAL LIGATION keep reading!
We'll start with the clinic setting: the staff seem lost a lot. Which isnt Dr Abdulhafids fault. It isnt awful, Ive definitely experienced some really awful clinic staff. I found that Dr Abdulhafid is straight to the point. He isn't there for small talk. I'm sure some people find it offensive. As a YOUNG woman he is the only doctor that took my concerns seriously. Hes very knowledgable and will listen to your concerns. He'll listen to what you want for your own body and then he'll give his professional opinion. Then he will make a plan WITH you. After a few visits I decided on a TUBAL ABLATION and LIGATION (which ended up on a SELPINGECTOMY). He said the wait might be long to get in for surgery because of COVID but I ended up getting a call after 3months. His major concern was that after the process I would change my mind and want kids, which is impossible. DO YOUR RESEARCH IF YOU THINK THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT. I went through with the surgery. Dr was great and I have no complaints. He came to see me after I woke up and told me everything went well.
Its up to my body to decide what path it takes as far as how it reacts after the ablation. But I cant express how relieved I am to not have to worry about unplanned pregnancies or specific cancers. It might not seem like much but Dr Abdulhafid changed my life. Thank you doc, for listening to me and actually caring about my concerns.

Very traumatic experience, I do NOT recommend this doctor. I was referred to Dr. Abdulhafid by my family doctor because I have always experienced pain during intercourse, and during my first Pap smear, she found abnormal redness on my cervix that tests ruled out all common causes for. Dr. Abdulhafid was quite late to my appointment, didn’t listen to me when I explained my situation (repeated me incorrectly and asked questions I had already answered). When he left for me to undress, a nurse came in without knocking and just hung around while I changed, despite the fact that I was clearly uncomfortable. she left AFTER I had changed and left me laying on the table for 10 minutes before she and the doctor came back in. I had been PLANNING on asking him to warn me before he did anything, but before I had the chance, he shoved a speculum in me very violently, and when I told him that it was very painful, he just mildly adjusted the speculum and told me it shouldn’t be. The REASON for my visit is pain, and yet he couldn’t be bothered to be gentle or give me warning (my family doctor is very gentle with the speculum so I know it can be done). He then decided after about 2 seconds that I needed cervical cautery. He did not educate me about the procedure or give me any time to ask questions, or offer pain management, just immediately started cauterizing. This HURT incredibly badly, and I told him so, and he assured me that it was a painless procedure. No, no it was not, at least for me. I was there because regular intercourse caused me pain, and yet somehow chemical burning is supposed to be painless? I was almost in tears and had to ask him to stop, which he did. Then he tells me that the cautery wouldn’t do anything for my pain, just for abnormal bleeding, and prescribed me a medication. He told me to go off of my birth control but did not offer any other contraceptive advice besides “be careful”.
I then had to miss a day of work because I was experiencing heavy cramping and bleeding after the cautery, to the point that I could barely drive myself home. Pain medication did not help and I was very emotionally distressed about not understanding what had just happened to me. He also did not go over any aftercare, and I had to find out from the internet that I should avoid baths and intercourse for 2 weeks post-cautery. Overall, I feel like I did not have the opportunity to give my informed consent to the procedure and I now have a distinct fear of going to the gyno’s office.

My experience with Dr Adel is great. I have read some of the negative comments and find it hard to believe. I am an older woman , and have seen him 3 times. He also did a biopsy on me. He bed side manner is awesome. He is kind, he listens, he lets me ask questions, and even makes me laugh. With the way things are today, he is just what you need. I had to wait a bit, maybe 20 minutes, and he apologized right away for being late. So, from my perspective, I would highly recommend him.

Was supposed to have a consult with Dr. Adel. I live over an hour away from the clinic. Due to freezing rain overnight, it was too dangerous to make the drive in this morning. I ask if I could do a phone consult instead and was promptly told Dr. Adel does not do phone consults. No amount of pleading worked. Along with the recent surge in COVID-19, I feel this is a ridiculous policy for patients who don't require a physical. Will definitely be finding someone else.

This is such a great Dr. Both me and my Mom have seen him several times. He is such a personable and kind person. We both had our problems resolved and were happy with the results. Would recommend this guy for sure!

I would not recommend this doctor. I had surgery and I wish I had chosen someone else. My sutures fell out less than 2 hours after being home and I bled for hours non-stop. When I called the hospital and him, his staff said that he will not come in to meet me and I just have to go to emergency instead. My stitches scar is horrible. Not to mention my surgery started 7 hours late because he went on lunch and only came to see me 5 minutes before the surgery.
In addition to all of this, he told me he would give me a note to give to my employer after surgery, which since I was all hopped up on morphine and alone because of COVID, he did not give me. When I called his office to have them send me one, they said I would have to go to the office to schedule an appointment to meet with another doctor! PARDON ME! I have full coverage so that is not the issue, the issue was that I could not sit down for longer than 5 minutes and they wanted to bill my insurance for another visit! Absolutely ridiculous!

I will not go back to him and I would suggest that you look elsewhere as well.

I had a terrible experience with this doctor; he did a biopsy without explaining the process first and it was beyond painful. I am still traumatized. When I had complications from the procedure, he was extremely difficult to contact and never returned my calls. I ended up seeing my family doctor for help who sent me directly to Emergency where I received care. I would NEVER go back to this man.

Had a biopsy and he gave me the wrong diagnosis. Thankfully I got a second opinion and they read the results correctly off the lab work.
