Dr. Subedar was very professional with me. He took the time to explain all the procedures he was doing, did two surgeries, one where he had to graft bone, and I felt very little pain during or after surgery. I felt comfortable asking him questions, and he was great with answering them all.

I had seen Dr Subadar before this occasion.
I did not really care for his demeanor, but he go the job done.
On Nov 10,2020 I was scheduled for a tooth extraction, removal of a root tip,and a wisdom tooth extraction by Dr Subadar.
While still recovering, and waiting to go home, it was determined that Dr Subadar had forgotten one of the extractions (cannot recall which one) and he took me back in and performed the extraction.
I followed up a few weeks later because of some persistent pain and Dr Subadar said all was ok.
It has remained sore since that time.
On April 20, I had a CT scan as a followup to my cancer treatment. That scan stated, among other things:
"JAW & DENTAL: Status post extraction of tooth #30 with a small bone fragment along the buccal margin"
I did not have time to followup with Dr Subadar as I was getting close to leaving for my job in Alaska, where I am now.
Recently the pain got worse, and then I felt something in the area where the tooth has been extracted. I thought maybe something such as popcorn had gotten stuck in there.
I dealt with it for 2-3 days, trying to get it out with an electric toothbrush and dental picks.
Last night it had worked out enough that I could pull it out with my fingers and found it to be a bone fragment, roughly 3/4 inch long.

I felt at the time that forgetting to perform a scheduled procedure was totally unprofessional.
Now, that I find that a bone fragment was left behind ,and later told that all was ok and I will heal up, I find to be more than unprofessional, but incompetent.
I will not be seeing Dr Subadar ever again.

Truly one of the worse dental experiences EVER!!
This dentist - Ashoka came in shook my hand-(no gloves)
Then proceeded to be racist towards the fact I exercise everyday - “you’re not a typical American” identified himself as Canadian. Then never looked in my mouth charged me for a x-Ray I did not authorize.
Stay away from this guy- go elsewhere

Below outlines my horrible experience (start at the bottom and read up)...

Hello Lindsay:

I find the generic response below very unacceptable considering what I addressed in my email.

I will be filing an official complaint. Perhaps that will elicit an appropriate response to what I said.

Thank you.

David

Hi David,

We did receive your email and we are terribly sorry that you were very dissatisfied with your experience here. We strive to provide excellent oral health service.

We have cancelled your surgery appointment as requested.

Please let us know if there anything that we can do for you regarding this treatment.

We wish you well.

Sincerely!
Lindsay D, Office manager

Please confirm receipt and acknowledgment to the email below which I sent on 1/21/2021 @ 12:16pm pt. Thank you.

My dentist has already been sent a copy.

David

Hello:
Please cancel my surgery that is currently scheduled for 2/11/21 @ 8am. My experience this past Tuesday was horrific, and I will never be returning to this office. I will find somebody else to treat me. The following are the reasons why I am not proceeding with care at this facility:
1. When asked at the front desk if I was going to be able to have someone pick me up, it seemed strange because there hadn't even been surgery, and I didn't even know at that point what was even going to be involved completely in my treatment. I had answered, "no."
2. Being that we are in a pandemic, when the scan was taken, the employee literally was an inch from my face while adjusting me and touching me with her un gloved hands! I could have been instructed and done it myself.
3. I felt put on the spot and very uncomfortable when asked about my major depression and panic disorder. Fact is, nobody at this office is a psychiatrist and shouldn't act like it.
4. The first thing the doctor did when he entered was to come over and shake my hand and introduce himself with NO GLOVES on. He never ONCE examined my mouth. He only looked at the scan. He also said at the very start, "When did you get back?" I looked at home strangely and said, "What do you mean?" He then proceeded to say, "The Capitol." Wow! He was very crude (will not go into specific details) and condescending the entire time. I almost got up and left at the very beginning. So unprofessional. He also put me on the spot about my medical conditions and I felt like I wanted to cry. As he left, he said, "Lindsey will take care of you." I waited for about five minutes. Nobody had entered the room to get me. I opened the door and two employees looked right over at me, and said, "We'll be with you shortly." I should have just left. Never has an office felt so snobbish. And, to not be following all protocols during a pandemic is inexcusable.
5. When the two employees re-entered the room and scheduled surgery and went over the fees, I just kept my mouth shut and went with it. One of them told me not to take my medications the morning of surgery. These are not medications that interfere with surgery. I would have taken them anyways because I know my body and what I need.
It appears from the paperwork that I received this past Tuesday that a consultation (which should have also included a physical examination of my mouth which wasn't done as I referenced above) was covered, and that my only out of pocket cost is for the scan. Please send me a bill for that via my physical address or via an attachment as an e-mail.
Lastly, when I had scheduled my Tuesday appointment, I had specifically stated that I was not interested in having the implants or crown lengthening done due to my future move to another state. I only wanted the extraction on #18. Nowhere on my information had that been noted.
Thank you.
David

My father was referred to Dr. Subedar's office for an infected root canal complicated by the presence of end-stage COPD. Instead of informing us via a simple phone call that there was nothing he could do for him, he had me take an entire day off work to bring my dad back in for a "re-evaluation" (that's how it's being billed), where no evaluation was even done. As soon as he walked in he said "oh, I didn't think I'd see you here again!" We weren't even in the office for 5 minutes and were told we should be "following back up with a dentist, not an oral surgeon." He made sure we knew he was "a surgeon" not a dentist; was very rude and condescending. As an RN, I am angry that he books appointments this way so he can charge for what should be a phone call to patients.

After reading all of the positive comments below, I was wondering if all of these patients went to a different oral surgeon than I did. However, after reading further down the list I came upon patients who had the same experience, for the most part, as I did. I have been going to doctors now for 'well' over half of a century, and have experienced several arrogant, egotistical and self-serving physicians, and Dr. Suvbdar, is absolutely the worst of them all; the others pale in comparison. To hear him talk he thinks he is the crème de la crème of all oral surgeons. Shoulda been a red flag for me right away! After my surgery he came in the recovery room with his condescending, arrogant attitude, with the personality of a board, and proceeded to tell me that everything went well, as HE had anticipated. However, when I proceeded to inquire as to what he actually did and to question him about post-op expectations, he became observably irritated, with a 'how dare I' even consider questioning him; obviously indicating his 'superiority' over me (a mere mortal). Both my wife and I were stunned by his rudeness and he abruptly turned and exited the room. As he left my wife said "He's an a hole" (and she had never met him prior to that point). I couldn't have stated it more precisely. I am now in the process of finding another oral surgeon for my followup care and will require further oral surgery. I would HIGHLY NOT recommend this arrogant and condescending physician; that is unless you LOVE being a doormat!!! Proceed at your own peril....don't say that you haven't been warned!!!! But I must say, the staff are excellent..very friendly and helpful!! I also witnessed him berating one of his nurses while I was in 'the chair' right before my surgery. I was shocked how he treated his staff. But then again, maybe not, as at his core he is just, as my wife expressed. "an a hole".

Dr. Subedar is the most talented, knowledgeable, experienced DMD I have ever been to. My teeth have extremely long roots & he has done some fantastic work in my mouth. Extractions & implant. The staff is great too! Plus he has a wicked sense of humor.

I really dread dental procedures, so when I was told I needed two molars removed I was very concerned. Lucky for me I was referred to Dr. Subedar. He and his staff are very caring and compassionate. The procedure went well with little discomfort afterwards. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an oral surgeon.

Dr Subedar is a delight. Down to earth, patient, ask as many questions as you like, as the office seems to move at the pace of the patient. Amazing. Can't say much about how he did his work as I was asleep during that time. But I must tell you that I had zero discomfort after my dental implant prep (involving removing a tooth). It truly was like I had not had a procedure except for the absence of a tooth. I did not have a need for pain relievers, and I continued my day as usual. Call me lucky, or tell me I had a great team working on my tooth, as it all came out to the same conclusion. Highly recommend. I have to add that I have never seen a cleaner medical office!
