I went in for hypoglycemia, and stomach issues. Dr said it was not hyperglycemia blood sugars looked fine I said something is wrong with my stomach. 1500$ and sent me home I had to go to 4 doctors total and ER I had to warn MD and thought Hpylori. Finally last doctor checked my still had to beg at the walk in clinic. It was positive. I had told a doctor in after hours about hpylori and he refused to check. Also had to go back to ER after starting medicine had a reaction, body jerks could not sleep for 3 days. Dr said stop medince and half life is 72 hours. I have heart issues and no IV drip no checking for my magnesium and potassium. That was 5000$ when I saw medical bill because I recived an ECG and chest xray. Hospital feels dirty . I never touch my skin on the bed or side rails. Have known 2 people contact flesh eatting on leg after ER visit.

St. Joseph's refuses to help patients with Lyme Disease even if they have a positive test result. I hate them. Staff are not friendly or helpful

I was went into labor with my sixth child. I stayed home until the pains were intense. Drove the forty five minutes to the hospital. Nurse checked me out and confirmed I was in labor. Called my dr, shane mora. He told her to send me home. I went to a nearby park and labored alone in the parking lot. Went back to the hospital and the nurse confirmed I was further dilated, but when phoned, the doctor (shane mora) refused to allow me to be admitted. I was 37 1/2 weeks pregnant and the hospital doesn't like to encouage babies to be born before 38 weeks. I just wanted to be admitted. The nurse was kind and frustrated. She said she lacked t the power to override the doctor, I was turned away 3 times. The final time I was turned away the nurse told me, don't leave the hospital! So I went into the lobby. After a half hour, I asked told the nurse I was going to need to push soon. They admitted me and I barely had time to take my street clothes off. My doctor, shane mora, didnt make it. The nurse putting in my iv was the only one with gloves on and they were scrambling to find a doctor to assist. My stupid doctor finally came to see the already born baby, and said, wow mommy, you have them fast :/ I spent three hours in labor alone in a parking lot with no monitors to watch my baby. I complained. The nurses complained. Nothing was done. Shane Mora OB GYN totally failed me. Nightmare baby birth. Fortunately, my baby was healthy. Hospital policy sinks. I can't hold the baby in just because I'm half a week early. I wasn't asking to be induced, just admitted. Without the doctors permission, they won't admit. I wonder if my doctor was busy...or had been drinking? He didn't even come in to check me. Just phoned. Not good at all.

Went with horrible intestinal agony. Basically ignored for 6 hours, then discharged unchanged for $1600. Woman in next bed screamed in agony for over 2 hours while ignored. Wife went through same with splitting headache. Later discovered hospital policy refuses all pain treatment unless reason is physically obvious. All others are fakers looking for drugs. Another time, severe cut on arm severed tendon. Doctor on-call didn't feel like coming in on a Saturday night. When he finally did have time, it became a major and very expensive operation. Also, this hospital aggressively buys doctor practices and applies in-patient policies to out-patients. My cardiologist was last competitive practice in Whatcom County. Hospital got monopoly and immediately tripled rates. Another place added facility charges for office visits to pad income. If you can't wait 3 months for a general doctor appt, you are directed to the emergency room. Don't use this hospital or Peace Health facilities.

The RN staff was nice and generally well intentioned. One day there were four staff changes seemingly because of too many empty beds. The staff doctor (apparently furnished by a local network) was absolutely horrid.
