Always feel like I am having to bring it back to relevance. I am paying for time to talk about me, she seems to prefer talking about herself and her greatness, what she knows, and relays other patient's stories and not so much about helping you.  There is very little listening.  It feels like she wants you to really like her. Has a high tendency  to rattle off psychiatric terms in broad term without relevancy and diagnoses for my partner (without ever having met) and generic issues with ideological flourish.  It feels like she wants you to really like her, it feels invasive (HER words about herself: She is smart, she is beautiful, she pays her dermatologist to be beautiful, she is a catch, she has great life, chooses to be single but goes out with men all time, lots more TMI,  etc.) She is unprofessional.  The emphasis on her physical appearance is particularly disconcerting and it is as if she is looking for validation and it also comes at the expense of others by put downs, like negatively commenting on my partner’s physical appearance while bolstering her own. I guess this is a perfect example of maybe not going to someone who focuses so much on self promotion when it comes to mental health. My fault really, learn from my mistake, find someone interested in talking about you. This is not someone who is about you, it all circles back to her.  Yes, personal experience counts to a certain extent, but this is above and beyond, it’s personal for sure. It’s her personal vehicle for, validation? spectacle? It’s confusing and not helpful and frankly, if you are a patient there’s MORE than a strong possibility that she is talking about you and your problems/issues/story to other patients or on social media. Bottom line:  If you are looking for clarity and insight, it cannot be found here.  It’s a lot of psychobabble and desperate fawning, which is completely useless for a person looking for guidance.

Seeing her for over a year with little progress. She says what her clients want to hear. Unprofessional and offers limited insights. Somewhat sexist as well with curious fixations on gender roles. Do not recommend.

Insightful, smart, easy to talk to, and helped me learn about myself.

She has helped me with deciding what to do with my mother who has dementia and to cope with caring for her needs.

I have been working in treatment with Dr danback for four years now, and she has helped me considerably with my depression and anxiety. I have been so confused with life and what direction to head into and dr danback really cares and gives me hope to move forward with my mistakes. I feel better and an able to focus. I had rough times with my family and ex who has a disorder and dr Danback helped me understand it in a different way. I am able to function better and am excelling.
