She is the best podiatrist in Toronto. I had operations on my toes in several hospitals, but the first time I met such an honest, sympathetic, high professional in her difficult work as a doctor. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude to her for her operation. I bow low to her and wish her the very best in her life.

Dr. Gladys Chan is an outstanding professional who demonstrated genuine care for, and compassion to, me when as a result of an accidental fall I broke my hip last year and required a hip replacement. Dr. Chan is a credit to the medical profession. Dr. Chan and her team deserve the highest praise for successfully restoring my mobility. I will be forever grateful to her and the entire team. My donations to the NYGH are made in honour of Dr. Chan. With best wishes, R.V.

I agree with all the 1 or 2 star ratings. And even though its about a year ago, that i had an appointment with Dr. Chan, I felt I had to give my feedback here. She is totally business oriented and no bedside manners whatsoever. I went to her for bunion surgery for both feet and asked her if I could do both feet together to avoid downtime and she told me if I wanted both done together, I could go find another surgeon. Very curt and did not make me feel comfortable at all. Even if she is a good surgeon (which i can't attest to), I am definitely not going to her again. Talking politely to patients and trying to address their concerns and making them feel comfortable, is as important to me as the surgery itself. And this doctor does not fit that bill!

I just did my bunionectony on my right foot this time after doing the other one last year. Both successful surgery. Very knowledgeable and expert on her profession. She is also very understanding to all my concerns and now I just recommended another colleague to do the same surgery.

Dr. Chan performed my total hip replacement surgery in March 2022. She is an amazing surgeon! Great sense of humour as well.

Dr. Gladys Chan performed mom’s total knee replacement surgery in October 2021. Outcome was phenomenal. TKR Surgery enhanced mom’s quality of life in every way.

Dr. Chan and her team came across and are in fact truly patient-minded.

From intake to post-op follow-up, we always felt Dr. Chan’s full presence and received her undivided attention.

Mom was cared about and cared for in a way that far exceeded anything we had hoped for.

The entire team at NYGH was in every way superb!

Dr. Chan is an extremely skilled, very caring, and highly personable orthopaedic surgeon. Top-shelf in every way. Without question, she receives our highest recommendation.

Condescending attitude. Made me feel as though it's my fault I'm in pain from a bunion. Rude tone and rushed through my in person appointment.

She did my bunion last year and from the day of the Surgery to the post-op, all went well amidst the Pandemic.
Thanks Dr Chan… now, time for my other foot.

Have to agree with the other one-star ratings. Dr Chan's communication is horrible and does not return calls. You are a number to her, not a person.
