I booked a call online through a walk-in clinic with Dr. Mbuyi and he contacted me 2 hrs late. I was simply asking for a referral form which he completed while on the call. Anytime I asked a question he would talk over me, when I asked about getting a copy of the referral from he was vague about the process, then got offended when I asked to confirm if he had my information - his tone was rude and dismissive throughout. Awful experience.

I have never had a poorer experience with a doctor in my life... I'm assuming this doctor has left Calgary because I am from a city near Niagara Falls, Ontario and began seeing Dr. Mbuyi towards the end of April when I registered with this new walk-in clinic that was opening. At the time, I had worsening health with each visit, and his lack of interest and advocacy for his patients was very visible. He made me cry multiple times, and would act as if my worsening health was all in my head. I asked for copies of MY reports that had been forwarded from the hospital to them and he denied me access to them; I had also requested a referral for an OBGYN and he denied me of that as well. One day, I was asking for a medical note because I required it for work and he told me he is not going to because he thinks that all I have is influenza... A flu doesn't last for 3 months! At this point, I was forced to raise my voice in his office and told him he doesn't advocate for his patients, nor does he do his job. He proceeded by walking out of the office and saying he is going to tend to his other patients because there is nothing more to do here.

In the end, I was diagnosed with lupus... A whole autoimmune disease that had made me suffer until I was literally bedridden. I am thankful that my specialist advocates for me because God knows that Dr. Mbuyi did everything but. I highly recommend that you do not see this doctor and find yourself a better practitioner. He will not advocate for your needs and it can be incredibly dangerous to your wellbeing.

For years I asked about severe pain with menstration (I was missing work because of it) he told me to have a baby and my problems would be solved. 6 years later I’ve been pre diagnosed with endometriosis, a legitimate disease- this man was not only entirely unhelpful but completely unprofessional. Had he taken my concerns seriously I could have had a diagnosis sooner as now my fertility is genuinely on the line!

Was very disappointed after second visit was having some stomach issues was told blood in my urine he seemed disinterested in my issues and prescribed an antibiotic. I was asked to go for more tests when given the forms I asked if I needed to fast and was told no . That was not the case when I went to lab next day and was told I needed to fast . I decided then he was not the doctor for us very unprofessional he was more concerned about his broken printer in his office then informing me about what I needed to do with my blood tests !!!
