Its shocking to me that Julia would get anything less an amazing review. Julia is extremely great, and exactly what Id hoped for during my first pregnancy. Her straight-forward approach comes with complete kindness. She went above and beyond both children I had with her, and wouldn't expect anything less with a third. child. Julia knows what she is talking about and was open to any worries or ideas me and my partner had. I would readily recommend Julia to anyone who came across my path.

I had Julia involved with two pregnancies. She is, to me, where I'd want a practitioner to be: experienced enough to have practiced in a variety of settings (including in a country where amenities are much less), yet a recent enough graduate to be up on the latest in terms of technology and research and methodology. Her manner is kind yet straightforward; she doesn't tell you what you want to hear unless it happens to match what you need to hear. She is calm at "go time". She most definitely went over and above for me. A credit to her profession.

Awkward and condescending. I wanted to like this midwife, however, I found her to be quite judgemental. She seems annoyed when you ask her questions, and rarely gives you clear answers. I would not recommend this midwife.

Julia is a lovely person but I was disappointed with her services as a midwife. Although she was always willing to answer my questions, some of the answers were not very helpful or well-informed. She did not provide positive encouragement during my labour. My labour was very medicalized very quickly (and I believe unnecessarily), despite my stated wishes, and I feel that Julia did not give me enough information to make good decisions on some of the interventions. Also, when I did need pain medication, I had to have her called to the hospital first, and it took her 45 minutes to travel there (so be fore-warned!). She was often late for our sessions, including meeting me at the hospital for my delivery. (This was OK in the office as I think it was probably a consequence of not rushing other patients, but not so OK at the hospital.) My impression was that she was not well-informed of the latest science in the field. She did do her best, but I had hoped for better.

I had Julia as a midwife from Sept 2011 to June 2012. She was amazing. I had an easy pregnancy but ended up with a complicated labour (inlcuding my baby in the NICU). Julia was so calm, supportive and...she helped us make critical decisions throughout the process. I would not hessitate to recommend her to my friends and family.

Julia is a midwife you can rely on. She is knowledgeable and patient. I had very hard time due to the Puppp rash in the last month of pregnancy, she took care of me professionally and she was doing her best for help.

Julia is an amazing midwife. Kind, calm, informative, caring, supportive and thorough. She was there for me through a difficult first birth that eventually turned into a C-Section, and then she was there for me for an unmedicated vaginal birth with my second child. In both situations, she was a rock of strength and reassurance. She's very grounded. She is exactly the kind of person I needed to help me transition into motherhood. She took excellent care of me and my girls. She is easy to talk to, and always leaves time for questions. I highly recommend her.

I had my first visit with julia a couple of weeks ago and have nothing but good things to say about her. She was knowledgable,helpfull and i never felt rushed. I would definitely recomend her to anyone looking for a midwife.
