Lovely gentle man who has been the only specialist I've seen so far that explained my symptoms and MRI results post brain tumour removal

Dan and his staff have been a beacon of light at a chaotic and confusing time. I felt genuinely cared for and listened to and part of the process. Very clear and understandable explanations and management plan. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Dr McLaughlin was very warm and caring. The most impressive one was that he really listened to us and answered a list of questions in a very kind and easy way to understand.

My partner and I found Dr McLaughlin to be a lovely, calm and caring doctor. After being in the public system with no getting better after 1 year with Epilepsy episodes, he was a light at the end of a very long dark tunnel.
He listened and went through everything with us, explaining to us in not so medical terms. I would recommend him to anyone.. Finally have answers (after my partner being on toxic medication for Epilepsy) ending up not being that.

Dr McLaughlin has looked after me for over a decade for MS and epilepsy. He regularly takes time out to call me when I’ve had any issues or scares. I’ve never had a specialist who was so giving with their time and helpful.

My child was put on a medication that she reacted to really badly. I’ve been trying to get a response from the Dr but have had to leave a messages with his receptionist (who is very dismissive) to date I was told “he’s extremely busy with a big stack of files & he’ll get to you when.. ) that was 2 weeks ago. The Dr seemed nice but his staff’s attitude is not. Very Ableist

He told me my brain lesions are caused by my smoking when I have only ever had one puff of someone else's cigarette when I was 20. I didn't like the taste of cigarettes so i never smoked again. He also told me my issues I was experiencing were caused by lack of sleep and being tired. He said if I get more sleep i would stop having my issues. So I made sure I went to bed earlier but it didn't help. I am still continuing to have weird shaking episodes, balance issues, head aches and confusion. A lot of the time my friends tell me about it, as sometimes I don't even know when I have these episodes. I also didn't appreciate the comment he made at the end of my appointment: "You have come this far with your brain as it is, don't you think you can keep going, I hope I don't see you again." Why pay $450 for any professional to say that? Waste of money and my time.
