Dr Merck is one wonderful, kind, thoughtful, attentive Pain specialist that I have ever known. How a person could judge a pain doctor for giving pain meds is an oxymoron statement. Go to a doc who doesn't believe in pain meds, that treats only back injuries with injections. What tho if people have severe gout, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, ms, muscular dystraphy, not all people have the same exact issues. He acts accordingly to your illness and ne er overdoes anything. Not a pushover. But he will help your pain with meds if necessary.

Dr Merck is extremely compassionate. I doubt, if I had to find another doctor because of moving that I would get one as understanding and kind as he is. He is not a push over but he listens and his judgement is very sound and reasonable. I wish he could be my doctor for all my ailments. Then I would never hate going to doctors.!!
