I have been a patient of Dr. Bruce Noxon, for over a decade, following him from one office to the next, so I find this review very painful to write.
On August 10, 2023, I met with Dr, Noxon at Illinois Bone and Joint in Glenview. I gave him 5 pairs of custom-made orthotics that he had made for me. After six weeks, his lab did not complete the modifications of my orthotics, and he along with his staff stopped answering my calls. I am shocked and dismayed that he just walked away from me, leaving me without any pairs of orthotics to use. He was the original doctor that prescribed the orthotics for me, about ten years ago! I need these orthotics to walk in comfort. For the last three months I have had blood blisters and quite a lot of pain because I don’t have them.
I find Dr. Noxon’s lack of response unconscionable and totally unprofessional. He refused to answer my communications. He accepted my orthotics for repair and then just walked away from his professional responsibility. It is very expensive to replace these five pairs of orthotics on my own and Medicare does not pay for them. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and can’t afford to replace them. This is not the Dr. Noxon I knew and trusted. I’m writing this review so others will know about his disappointing, unprofessional behavior.

He talked to my foot and to the computer. Did not talk directly to me. He and his staff were abrupt and unfriendly. I felt very rushed.

Dr. Noxon is extremely knowledgable and thorough in his diagnosis and treatment. He explored all possible avenues to help me and I am grateful for his tireless work! He is patient. I had no issues with his staff. They are all kind and willing to help despite such a busy practice.

Dr. Noxon was great his reception staff poor. I came back to his office with a letter asking to have my records faxed to my primary physician and a copy mailed to me. the receptionist said she couldn't do it right away , I asked to have them faxed before 9/13 she said she didn't know. - that was 9/8/16 today is 9/19/16. My primary physician still has not received nor have I. with everything on the computer it should not take over 11 days to do this simple task. I just tried to call and the message I received was "if you are getting this message we are either on the phone or with a patient" please call back. staff customer service sucks.

I had been walking in pain for several years because of what I thought was an severely fallen arch. Dr Noxon took one look at my foot and immediately went to work . . . removing a large callous on top of the fallen arch. Eureka! I walked out of his office completely painfree. I SO admire Dr Noxon. He is my hero!

Dr Noxon is terrific - listens well, caring and skilled. The office is in need of better service. Can't leave messages, no email options, very difficult to schedule surgery, website is seriously lacking. Good thing he's such a great doctor and surgeon, otherwise I'd go elsewhere as my experience trying to schedule a surgery bordered on the ridiculous (ie - can only talk to and schedule surgery on Wednesdays during certain times. They won't call you back, and you must keep calling until you get ahold of this scheduler). Tough, considering my entire life had to revolve around this surgery since I would be immobile for several weeks. It took a couple of weeks after my initial appointment to get a surgery date, due to the inability to reach the one and only person authorized to schedule. I guess when you're as good as Dr Noxon, they know patients will scramble to get an appt or surgery date! He did provide me with his personal phone number once I got scheduled for surgery, which would help me get over the gauntlet of his appointment desk.
