My husband and I are both very happy with the services our two sons are receiving from Dr. Varma. We even switched our eldest son to her because we are that comfortable on her service. We initially had her as our newborn son's Attending Physician at Palomar Pomerado Hospital. After a couple visits (post delivery) with her, we've decided to keep her as our newborn son's pediatrician. We kept her for many important reasons.(1) She is obviously very intelligent, who wouldn't want a smart doctor? Smart doctor = smart parents; (2)She is blunt. We both like that! She doesn't sugar coat things and will tell us if we are doing things wrong. (3) And to balance the prior statement ..even if she is that blunt, she is very respectful of our wishes and of how our parenting is just as individual as our kids are. She will make suggestions and give her professional advice but in the end if our way of parenting works then she'll respect it and will not be offended by it.

Dr.Aruna Varma has been my sons' doctor since they were delivered 15&17 years ago and she is the best!!! Dr.Varma is extremely intelligent and will always take excellent care of a child. She also has privileges at San Diego's Children's Hopsital which is important.Being up to date on the latest medical break throughs is her passion. She even runs a paperless office and is very proficient on the computer. She genuinely cares about each child and will always go above and beyond to make sure she's giving you the best diagnosis and prescription for your child. We are having a tough time finding another dr. to fill her shoes as my son will be 18 soon. We have always relied on her intellectual diagnosis through all these years of treating anything that arised. Take the time to smile and get to know her and you will love her as we all do because she does care about each child. She even hangs up all the Christmas cards & childrens pictures. Dr.Aruna Varma is awesome!!

this doctor is the worse ive ever met she treats kids like if the kids were in a bootcamp for desobedience she has no empathy towards kids or parents. I would not recomend this doctor to first time parents
