Awful doctor. Called for a consultation and he made me feel stupid and was very unkind

Dr. Rivera is very compassionate, he will do everything in his power to help you I highly recommend him. I liked him so much my wife now sees him.

Do not waste your time with this doctor. First, he was over 45 minutes late and then he saw me for about five minutes for my first appointment. Did not take a through history, asked me a few questions and then decided that injections would be best for me. Despite telling him that injections had not worked for me in the past. He refused to listen to me and then he wouldn't even describe why I needed injections or the the procedure. Most of the these pain clinics are out to make money by giving unnecessary injections. I was not about to trust a guy who didn't even talk to me and just relied on my medical records to decide my treatment options. He had zero consideration or respect for me.

Extreamly helpful and compassionate. Great with his patients. Helped me understand my condition and always guides me throughout my treatment options, risks and tests. Eventhough he is strictly professional, he is the type if Dr that knows ur name, making you feel important to him. Very willing and considerate. I would most definetly recomend Dr Rivera to everyone.

Dr Rivera helped me with my back and neck problems. He always explained me in detail my MRI. He offered different treatment for my conditions. He is well known and compassionate. I recommend Dr Rivera to everyone.

Dr.Rivera ordered an x-ray and mri. never read until I came for appointment and told me it was wear and tear. Have two bulging thoracic disks. Prescribed tramadol and naproxen. when I returned to let him know it did not work he did not know what to say and gave me a muscle relaxer which did not work. I told him the medications made my stomach sick and nothing was relieving my pain. I decided to obtain my mri films and report and found that I had cysts on my liver which he never reported to me I don't think he even read it at all. He just sat in his desk chair typing on the computer on my visits while I asked for his help. I would not recommend this pain doctor to anyone. Be aware

After moving up from SC, I called the office to verify they would take me on as a new patient, explaining that my current treatment (having had 4 lumbar surgeries @ L4/L5) was methadone, valium and monthly triggerpoint injections in my lumbar back. After paying $300 new patient fee UP FRONT, Dr. Rivera reviewed the records my SC doctor had sent up and said he would not take me as a patient, and refused to prescribe methadone. I explained I would be up for whatever treatment he felt was best and he simply refused to even CONSIDER my situation. He sent MAYBE 5 minutes with me, NEVER looked at my back, and sent me on my way! The term "unprofessional" would be so much BETTER than the reality is. If you are in the Annapolis, MD area, and in need of pain management, look elsewhere...ANYWHERE..but NOT THIS DOCTOR OR OFFICE!
