He was unprofessional and often made decisions that were unprofessional. He failed to acknowledge his history of professional misconduct and bias towards the Windsor police. Please see the following:

The Discipline Committee panel made findings of professional misconduct with respect to Dr. Schnayer’s failure to report a child in need of protection (whose father was a Windsor Police officer) pursuant to the Child and Family Services Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C.11. The panel found that Dr. Schnayer breached professional misconduct regulations 1.2 and 1.32, as well as Standard 2.1 (General Conduct). The panel imposed an Order, which included a reprimand, a two-month suspension, and that Dr. Schnayer successfully complete the BOOST course provided by the Child & Youth Advocacy
Centre and write a reflective paper after completing the BOOST course. This order is under appeal.

Not much different than most psychologists i have seen. Just sit and listen but offer no real solutions leaving you thinking you need to go back every week. 👎

My son was 10 suffered from OCD and an eating disorder. He was being bullied at school. Dr. Schnayer agreed he could run away and live with his mother, who abused drugs and alcohol. It took 2 weeks and his mother stopped taking him to his appointments, stopped communicating with me and would not allow him to call or see me. Although I had legal custody, Dr. Schnayer would not discuss my son, his counselling or lack there of, with me as he was now living with my ex. Neither Dr. Schnayer or his staff followed up to see how he was doing and or to encourage the counselling to restart and continue. I feel they dropped the ball after having given my son to a very unstable person. Now an adult, he is an uneducated, unemployed drug addict that hasn't been seen or heard from in almost a year. The fault is not all Dr. Schnayers. I should have fought harder to keep him with me instead of trusting the word of an "expert" in his field.

This doctor is a joke. His main objective was collecting thousands of dollars from me and my ex wife while acting like he cared which was apparently exactly that. Acting. His decision helped NO ONE. He gave his recommendation to CAS, and it was very neutral. It didn’t help any of us in court or in our family life. What a disappointment. It’s all about the money with this guy. I would rather burn my money then give this guy another penny. Complete joke.

A good person does not necessarily mean a good physiologist, but I can't even say that he was good, just was sure to answer my emails. I am in complete disagreement with his evaluation. He purposely omitted proven actions of the mom that were direct indications of alienation, I have not seen my Daughter for 2 years, as a result of his involvement in my case. He didn't even look for some even ground. Just defaulted to side with the mother and ignored all her deception and manipulation. I will be posting further details into this for anyone who is interested. Overall my experience with Dr, Reuben was poor, he wouldn't even acknowledge that the actions the mother had taken do not support a healthy environment, and belief system for a child. His evaluation method is way outdated, and has no faith component. Half of his evaluation was from an automated resource, and the half that he actually wrote was completely bias. For example he started his assessment by stating that there had been any contact for a significant amount of time, without ever stating what that amount of time had been. "Opinion without fact shows Bias" and Dr. Reuben is definitely that !

I do not wish to talk in a negative manner toward Dr. Schnayer, however I am deeply concerned with current proceedings and how they may not be resolved because the good doctor has not addressed the underling issues that have been present with the parenting arrangement since my daughters birth.

Dr. Schnayer is very caring, kind, compassionate, honest, forthcoming, helpful, caring, generous and has a sense of humor!! In other words, he is AWESOME!! He has helped me work through various situations and has kept me focused on the goal....living life to its fullest.
