Overcrowded & overbooked. No personality, talks not to the patient but to his nurse

This doctor addressed his intern about your problem rather than speaking to you. He ordered an MRI but instead of faxing the requisition it was given to me, I dropped it off at the hospital and didn’t hear back, after 2 months I went into the hospital and they gave me the date of my appointment I have never hear from Dr. Haaland’s office. Try to call, you never get an answer, totally incompetent staff. Took 9 months to see him wait time in office was 2 hours, no consideration for your time.

Can't leave an honest review for him because I still haven't seen him. A year after I was referred to him, I called the office to find out when my appointment would be. They called back and said it could take a year and a half to see him. She had the referral so she knew when it was sent in (October 2017). Here we are 25 months later and I still have never heard from him. Will ask for a referral to someone else

Dr Haaland was able to diagnose my rare condition when multiple other doctors dismissed my symptoms without even running tests. He was extremely thorough and explained everything to me with compassion and patience. I traveled from Sudbury multiple times to see him and his staff were extremely helpful in booking my appointments at times that made traveling optimal. Dr Haaland and his dream gave me my life back when I feared chronic exhaustion and pain were my only option.

Late is understandable and arrogance seems to come with this territory. This Doc had the nurse change my test results right in front of me "because i want to diagnose with this anyway". I shouldn't need to explain my poor rating further.

Having been with Dr. Haaland and his team for 2 years now, has changed my life and improved my outlook on so many facets. His team is superlative to none and they will work with you to find the answers and explaining all steps. His office is busy for good reason as he gets results. I appreciate so much my nurse Jessica and all members of the team. Thank you !!

Dr Haaland is knowledgable and leaves no stone unturned. However, the office structure and protocols are severely lacking. Patients are told to leave either a voicemail or an email but not both, and their query will be answered withi. 48 hours. Most go unanswered and need to be repeated numerous weeks in a row. Appointments booked between 10 and 4 have the longest wait times especially the days that pharma reps bring the staff lunch and hold an 'education session' on their drugs. Those times, one will wait 3-4 hours In Very uncomfortable chairs. Nurses do not return emails or calls.
If you're lucky to get the research nurse, you'll also be the the storage room for your consult and be interrupted by anyone of the staff needing supplies during your time. One 4 hour appointment had 7 interruptions.

Yes we can all acknowledge that you will have to wait to be seen but....in the end, the care you receive from Dr. Haaland and ALL of his staff is so worth the wait. Some people say he’s a pill pusher; I have been told that to stop my disease you need to use disease modifying drugs. So, best to trust the good doctor.

Dr. Harland discovered a problem that no one else had, which led to the discovery of a thyroid nodule and a parathyroid adenoma. These problems were hidden beneath a host of other problems so I have confidence in him and am glad my family doctor referred me.
