Dr. Portugeys is an exceptional medical professional. He is caring, considerate, respectful, and honest. My treatment went very well without any pain or complications. I felt very secure under his care. He is terrific and I highly recommend him to anyone that needs a root canal or retreatment of an old one. The office is clean and neat and the staff are nice and friendly. A top rated experience overall. I loved him.

Dr. Portugeys is an amazing doctor, who made sure I was comfortable before proceeding with my root canal surgery. I get horrible anxiety when it comes to dental work, and Dr. Portugeys and his staff were very comforting. Office manager Natalie was a very knowledgeable and sweet young woman who assisted me with helpful information for further treatment. Best dental office experience! Emergency appointment, no wait and excellent staff!

Dr. Portugeys instantly impresses as a personable, friendly, and comforting endodontist who is genuinely interested in the wellness of his patients. He is very empathetic and patient, who understands a phobic patient , like me, and develops excellent rapport, and puts one at ease. His great sense of humor helps to relax and trust the work that needs to be done for a tooth restoration. He educates about the nature and causes of a tooth condition. Dr. Portugeys has excellent manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination. And above all, he is a caring and bright human being who is a pleasure to get to know! He is surrounded by a wonderful staff. It’s so surprising that he doesn't do any marketing.

This doctor is extremely professional and very good at what he does. I had a tough root canal situation and he was able to correct the issue and attend to my every need including coming out to his Brooklyn office after hours as I was in extreme pain and accommodate special hours. Overall I believe the doctor has handled the situation in the best manner possible and I am 100% satisfied with his work. I will be sure to recommend his services to any/all my friends who need a root canal procedure. Overall great experience with the doctor and staff, very polite and caring and try their best to tend to a client individually- I believe the above review of him not understanding someone with anxiety to be completely untrue and it's possible the mental issue at hand is something other than just anxiety as I have anxiety issues myself & sat in the chair nervous and scared and with sweaty palms and the doctor understood completely and was very understanding. Highly recommend him. Quality service.
