We want to IWK for a 1st trimester ultrasound (2nd u/s as the first was done by my obs gen). I was suppose to be 10 weeks but the radiologist claimed that I was 8 weeks 2 days. What surprised me is that, she wasn't there in person in the room to conduct the scan or the very least observe it. And that she based her conclusion on what the sonography told her. I believe there was communication breakdown somewhere which they refuse to admit. The fact that I had a retroverted uterus was not even hilighted to them. And I wasn't given a choice to do a transvaginal u/s and immediately put on transabdominal. After checking with friends and online, I realized that I was treated badly and that the conclusion made that my baby has stopped living was done too hastily - given 2 GLARING facts! 1) the radiologist did not get all the information for her to conclude properly - knowing i had retroverted uterus should prompt her to use transvag. 2) the radioligist wasn't around during the scan itself!
