Dealt with dr Latchman during the initial part of our son’s hospital stay. We barely saw him and dealt with one of his wonderful residents. When it came to a life changing diagnosis he came with 5-6 other people who he never introduced to us, and he never asked if they could be present. He gave us terrible news and began going through what felt like a practiced script with no emotion, while we all broke down and had to deal with these strangers in the room. He acted as if he was the one dealing with us the whole time and like we knew him, yet he was a total stranger to us and the whole experience was terrible. So unprofessional, we will never forget how terrible we felt and how scripted his words felt, just as if he was putting on a show for whoever he brought with him in the room. I hope no one ever has to deal with him, and if you do. Speak up and tell him you’re not comfortable with how he’s treating you as a person.

Dr latchman has been our pediatrition for 2.5 years now. He is an outstanding doctor, never rushes you while you are there, answers all questions and provides a lot of intel. If I ever have a question I call and his nurse returns my call very quickly and is always so helpful and so nice. I’m so happy I was referred to him for my son.

Only positive things to say. we did not have a lot of contact with his staff unless you count the general staff at Mcmaster, which were all kind and helpful. dr. Latchman is kind, caring, and goes above and beyond.

One of the best docs i have seen, he visited us daily for a week at mcmaster during my sons kawasaki disease treatment, super knowledgible, he even referred us to a great pediatric Dr bhatia near our home in milton. Kind, nice, extremely friendly with kids. Gem of a person.

We met Dr Latchman when our son was diagnosed with a very rare condition. He worked along side other specialists, and provided incredible care during our stay at the hospital. 2 years later, he is still our sons paediatrician and we couldn’t be happier. He is so patient with our son, and has always taken the time to ensure we leave feeling confident and listened to. Consistently excellent care!

We are so thankful for Dr. Latchman and all the care he has given to our little one. He is extremely attentive and caring. He is passionate about his work and has gone above and beyond for our family. He supported, guided, and assisted us with each decision we had to make and followed up consistently. It has been so incredible to be placed with a doctor who is not only knowledgeable, but also patiently listens to all of our questions and concerns. We could not have asked for a better ped!

He works only at the hospital, his staff is friendly enough, his availability is bad. The comments about winning the lottery are more like getting him is like the worst luck you could have, arrogant, and doesn't listen, if you don't play along with his I.m so cool act he won't​ have the time of day.

Dr. Andrew Latchman is a star! His personal contributions to our daughters wellbeing, given the complex health problem she faces, has demonstrated that Dr. Latchman has a rare and enviable ability to find solutions within McMaster and the Ontario Health infrastructure in general. The hospital has not been able to diagnose my daughter but Dr. Latchamn has never given up trying. If Dr Latchman is your doctor you have done better than winning the lottery for your son/daughter.
