Dr. Polan gave discharge instructions to my mom who suffers from short term memory loss. I tried calling his office for three days in a row.

On the third day, the receptionist said the office had tried to call but the mailbox was full. That is a lie. My phone is never off and I clear all messages.

I told the woman all I needed was clarification in his discharge instructions. She said I had to make an appointment to get that information. I’m 71 and my mom is 89, I fail to see why getting an explanation for orders already given warrants a $50 cab ride and at least an hour visit. This is inefficient and smacks of extortion.

Find another internist if you want respectful and sincere service.

Dr. Polan is the best! He is always there to treat and listen to not only my health issues, but also my day to day problems. I'm never leaving him.
