E. Duval DO was Interim Chief Medical Examiner in the OK Medical Examiners Office upon the termination of Dr. Collie Trant. In his position, he received two high profile cases that were being contested by families – Dr. Trant was in the process of correcting autopsy reports when he was terminated. See the website JusticeForTheDead.com. E. Duval not only did NOT see these cases through to completion, and there was ample time, he refused to speak with the families or their attorney and only communicated through an office spokesperson, non-physician. Dr. Trant was terminated from his position for trying to report wrongdoing. There are two lawsuits pending, both on expedited review, one elevated to Federal Court. (Trant is seeking justice). Eric Duval needed to complete the cases as Interim before leaving the State. He shouldn’t have refused to take them and he should’ve talked with the families (Turner and Young) and/or their attorney as to why he didn’t take them before leaving.
