I am a patient at the Center for Neurolocal Disorders in Milwaukee, WI. Under Dr. Khatri's leadership, this center has become a leading facility for the treatment of a broad range of neurological disorders. My particular condition is Multiple Sclerosis, and I have never received this level of exceptional care, not even in Boston.

Have been seeing Dr. Khatri for well over 30 years. He is extremely caring, involved and goes out his way more for you than any doctor I have ever had. His staff are also always accessible, caring and completely attentive towards their patients? I admit, he is spending less time with me compared to past but that is the result of our health system....the demands placed on doctors now are ridiculous leaving them less time to spend with their patients and relying more on their P.As( John Krammer).....who by the way is excellent I do not know too many doctors who will spend their personal time to come see you in the hospital at 10 pm because they are concerned about how you are doing ...then sit with you to make sure you are ok. That is Dr. Khatri.

he is the best in the country when it comes to treating MS.......that said, he is short on time due to extremely busy schedule....I have seen him treating MS patients over the last 14 years and no other doc cares more about his patients and their families at a personal level than Dr. K.

Granted I spent most the appointment with his accosiate, I feel like he did a great job. Dr. Lee did all the tests and asked a ton of useful question. He was very helpful and friendly. After Lee did all these tests he went to Dr. Khatri and explained how he felt it went. Dr. Khatri came in and redid a few of the test to verify and gave me a very detailed explanation. He also had me do blood work and further testing.

With the exception of the treatment nurses, the staff as a whole are extremely rude, unfriendly, not very helpful and act as if they are doing you a favor by assisting you. They are also very slow to respond and tend to blame each other for errors. Dr Khatri is knowledgeable and friendly but a bit hurried in his time with patients. He listens and wants to work as a team with his patients which is appreciated.

There is no doubt that Dr. Khatri is and extremely smart man, but bediside manner is non-existant. He is very arrogant and acts like he is doing you a favor for spending 2 minutes with you. He doesn't explain things well and leaves the room abruptly. You think he's coming back but he's not. His staff takes care of everything for him and are very protective of him. Thank GOD for his PA John Kramer who I can't say enough good things about. His nureses are very rude and annoyed with phone calls. I wouldn't suggest Khatri for anyone who needs any amount of attention. John is also becoming stretched pretty thiin. He can't do it all. Khatri also gave some wrong medication to my brother which caused a seizure while he was driving and didn't even admit it or apologize for it. Quite frankly I can't believe he is accepting new patients. He should just teach MS seminars around the world because that is what he is good at.

I went to Dr. Kharti as a consult after having been diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS. He looked at a large packet of records for only 10 minutes than rudely said that I should have been on a treatment( there is not treatment other than symptomatic for PPMS) and was going to treat me for Relapsing Remitting MS. Without much explanation, he handed me a packet with information on Betaseron and said to make an a appointment for 3 treatments of steroid. He could not have had worse bedside manner. I called the next day to speak with him and his nurse said that he was a busy man, , and that she would handle anything. I called my neurologist and went with my initial plan. 1 1/2 years later I went to the National Institute of Health for a Primary Progressive MS study and they supported my diagnoses and said it would have been inappropriate to do what Dr. Khati said- he obviously did not take enough time with me. I hope that patients see this and think twice before seeing this doctor.

I was examined by a nurse who took a BP, a Physician's assistant who took a BP, and finally Dr. Khatry who spent about 2 minutes with me as a "new" patient. I have had 2 brain surgeries and a complicated medical history. I am finding another doctor.
