I took my 15 year old daughter to Dr. Johnson with hip pain. With an MRI it showed mild fraying of her labrum. Between her X-ray, MRI, and physical assessment everything was not adding up. He referred us to an amazing Chiropractor, administered a hip injection, and physical therapy. A lot of surgeons would just want to do surgery but he wanted to get to the root of the problem. He’s patient, kind, and thorough. Very knowledgeable in his field. He has worked closely with the chiropractor to ensure the quickest recovery, and to get her back on the court. His staff is amazing as well. Easy to schedule and works hard to accommodate busy school schedules. Would highly recommend Dr. Johnson and his staff!

I have struggled with my left hip since 2006. I had 3 previous surgeries on my left hip. Nothing was working and I was in severe pain. When I saw Dr. Johnson, I was using crutches just to get around. I could hardly put any weight on that hip.
After reviewing my MRI, Dr. Johnson recommended a labrum reconstruction. When asked how many patients he had performed this surgery on who had lupus, his response was none. I informed him that I would be his first success story.
Surgery was a breeze! Recovery time was the fastest I have ever had! My recovery was ahead of schedule and my physical therapists were amazed at how well I was doing. They were so used to seeing me in pain. In 3 short months I am back to normal!!
Dr. Johnson and his staff are wonderful! If you are living in severe pain, can barely get around, and think there is no hope, PLEASE see Dr. Johnson!! He will help you get your life back!!

Hello All,

My life before surgery was tough. I was in constant pain. Some may find this funny, but these things were part of my everyday life that I could no longer do. I couldn't walk my dog, walk around the mall or even Walmart. I couldn't sleep on the affected side. It really hindered my everyday life.

Since surgery, it's a whole new world. I'm back to doing the things I need to do and want to do. And in such a short amount of time. The recovery was so much easier than I thought it would be.

Dr. Johnson and his staff have been amazing. I never felt rushed. I felt like they really listened to me. Everyone I talked to had heard of or used Dr. Johnson and had nothing be great things to say about him. Including my neurologist and my PT therapist.

My advice to someone who was going to do this surgery would be to join a FB group or look at Dr. Johnson's hip clinic website. There are many ideas that will you help you through recovery. Don't listen to the negative things. You have a great surgeon, you're going to return to your life in no time! DO YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPY. It will really help. And use your ice machine.

Dr. Johnson and staff are incredibly easy to work with. I had bursitis over 30 years & he is the only one that has ever suggested a bursectomy. He also found I had a torn labrum and addressed that as well. I had little to no pain after my arthroscopy. I've never had to wait long in his office and his staff is very easy to work with as well.

I had the worst experience with Dr. Johnson. I had my hip repaired and come to find out the very things they went in to fix weren't fixed. Going along with that I was still inexcrutiating pain and after telling him time and time again I finally went to my primary doctor. I kept telling my GP how much pain I was in and he finally started talking about MRIing it and Johnson caught wind of that and called my doctor and started yelling at him for trying to help me. After that we put it off for a month and finally the pain was too much to bare and I finally had the MRI and found out that I still had all the same problems. I have an appointment in a week and I guess we will see how he takes the the news that he was wrong.
