Terrible office staff and follow-up. My primary made an emergency appointment with Dr. Yates for me. I arrived and his staff didn’t put the appointment on the calendar so it took 20 minutes for them to realize and they almost sent me home before the doctor agreed to stay. Then, I waited an hour past my appointment. Then he orders an emergency test that he told his nurse in front of me to schedule the following day and I get the run around and have to make 5 phone calls because she can’t return a call and two weeks later, I’m out of my prescription and told the first available is a month away. Nope, he wouldn’t fill my prescription either. Such a shame because I really appreciated his expertise and demeanor when I actually met with him for my appointment.

I took my son to follow up appointment. I arrived on time for my appointment. After waiting 1 hour 15 minutes to see him I asked front desk how much longer . They checked it would be another 30 minutes. I had to get my son to another appointment 30 minutes away so I cancelled and didnt reschedule. Find another doctor who can run or time or one whose front desk staff can call patients when he is behind and offer to cancel or reschedule. That is 2 1/2 hours I wont get back.

If you are looking for a doctor who is well informed, kind, caring and takes his time with you then this is your doctor. I will always be grateful for his surgical skills and bedside manner. He also has a great staff of caring interns, nurses and office personnel who aid him in your complete care.

Very good, I trust him %100. Very gentle and sweet and patient. Put me at ease with my surgery, the best I could hope for! I feel fortunate being referred to him. He's honest about what he cld do or not to improve my hearing, ear surgery. I have no insurance and didn't feel judged by him. He's a real sweetie. :)

I have been referred by the VA to Dr Charles Yates for consultation about Meniere's Disease and what can be done to help alleviate my severe vertigo problems dating back to my time in the military. Also get very bad headaches and only rest helps plus medications.

Had to give Dr. Yates middle of the road ratings because I drove 150 miles to the VA Hospital to find out that Dr. Yates would not be there to meet with me. Reasons were given but does not alleviate the need to inform the patient of cancelled appointments. Was it Dr. Yates or the VA that dropped the ball, I don't know. Reading his profile I see he is taking new patients. He might be too busy for new patients or needs a staff review. I will get another appointment with him and will give a better review as necessary. I'm not mad, just disappointed.
