Just had our first appt. w/ Dr. Enav, by referral from young son's lifetime PCP. New condition. I could not have been more pleasantly impressed. Professional. He listened, he listened to the four of us (son, Dad, Sdad, Mom), spoke to my son directly and precisely reasonably, and shared his insights, for which he was clearly prepared with blood and stool labs and historical information. Arranging appt. w/ staff/ site was straightforward. Left us all in much better understanding and hopefulness, with a clear trajectory for treatment and 'what's next'. Responded quickly and clearly to follow-up questions via portal. We went from very, very concerned about our son, to realistic understanding and relief and hope. Mom is Pediatric dentist, so knows sedation and had very specific concerns and questions, all responded to very reasonably. Dad is behavioral health professional with adolescents. Sdad is also professional, accomplished and takes a good blood parent's concern. We all reviewed together and agreed we could not have hoped for any better. Very thankful and grateful to Dr. Enav and his staff. 'Balance' is critical and challenging - Dr. Enav and staff navigated our entire introductory session and returned hope and relief to our decidedly very concerning situation.

I wish I had read these reviews before attempting to see Dr. Enav today. He made us wait for over 20 minutes in the exam room and once I decided to leave and actually spoke with him, it turned into a shouting match in the waiting room. He is as others have described: condescending and rude. I am guessing that we dodged a bullet by walking out and not having to "work" with him. Do not waste your time.

I dont know where to begin. Im disappointed, I wish I would have read the reviews before taking my daughter to see him. As everyone else has stated, he has a terrible bedside manner. He didnt examine my daughter and in the end asked me what i wanted him to do for her. He didnt give us any options so there wasnt anything for me to pick or consider. I had to ask what would he do next. His answer werent clear. I asked questions and he seemed irritated to answer them. I was very put off with his attitude and lack of interest. Im actually shocked that he is a pediatric doctor because he is not infant/kid friendly. In the middle of the appointment he got up and walked out of the room to yell at the 2 nurses/receptionist about something they didnt do. The nurses/receptionist seem nice but timid. I think he rude and inconsiderate and I will not take my daughter back. We will be finding another doctor.

I wish I had found and read the reviews below, before we attended our appointment. I completely agree with other's comments regarding his complete lack of bedside manner. He treated us like we were wasting his time. Instead of feeling like he cared to learn more about the situation, we felt like he was interrogating us after committing some sort of crime. The office is very nice aesthetically, and his assistant was pleasant enough, but I would absolutely advise everyone to find a different medical provider. He not only didn't seem to care - he didn't seem to be particularly knowledgeable.

If you're a parent of a child with medical issues, you are already stressed out enough. Do not waste your time seeing Dr. Enav. Not only is he rude, but he is arrogant and never has had any helpful advice. We have been seeing Dr. Enav for over a year - each time, I have learned to dislike him even more. This was the last visit. My son has a medical condition that requires for him to have bathroom access at any time for any length of time, or it could result in extreme constipation. Dr. Enav refused to write a letter that would cover the entire school year for my son to have this access. His Pediatrician, surgeon and other specialists have specifically stated his condition and needs in his records. There is a reason why it's easy to get an appointment with Dr. Enav and why his waiting room is always empty. He is not the doctor you want to waste your time with. There are plenty of other options out there - especially in the NOVA area. You would be doing yourself a favor by finding someone else and never stepping into his office.

I'm an RN and my husband is a police officer and Dr. Enav is an excellent physician in our experience with 4 children one of which has an extensive medical history.

Communication is simply not his strong suit. I think it would be helpful if he made more effort to talk directly to the child (as opposed to only speaking to the parent to evaluate symptoms). Other than that, he seems to be very knowledgeable as far as I can tell.
