He is one of the best doctors I have found to work with treating pain. He is very good at listening to you and really working with you on a plan to address your pain management needs. I would highly recommend him.

I have never had so bad an experience as I did with this doctor. He's supposed to be a pain management specialist, but even though I've been able to achieve a reasonably normal life with pain meds, and take a relatively small amount that has not changed in years, I was treated like a drug seeking addict, when he said he would only prescribe them once for me and then take me off them.... without ANY solution for what would replace them in managing my pain. When I repeatedly asked what his treatment for my pain was then going to be, I got no answer other than it must be in my head, since I have severe myofascial issues, fibromyalgia, nerve damage from chemo, chronic tendinitis, etc all pain causing issues that don't show up on xrays. He actually even said that unless I could bring an xray showing an issue, there wasn't any need for treatment. Apparently only pain that shows up on xrays exists for this doctor. I left in tears and have found it very difficult to see another doctor since as I had never been treated with such a complete lack of compassion before.

I had a great experience at the Rex Pain Clinic and Dr. Shrimanker was thorough in his evaluation. I hope he can do more to help me with my back pain. His staff was great and he was on time when he greeted me. My experience was excellent and I will be back to see him in a month
