Made appointment for mole checks and a refill of acne medication. Specifically asked to see a doctor, and not a Physician's Assistant. Was assigned a PA anyway, and when I refused, waited 2 hours to see Dr. Katz. Dr. Katz spent a whopping 90 seconds with me, told me a separate (read: $$$) office visit would be required for a mole check and left the room. Arrogant, money-grubbing and unprofessional.

I actually had quite the opposite experience with Dr. Katz. I went to see him for my sunspots and acne scars. He was very knowledgeable and my skin looks much better, and I didn't have a problem with waiting. I would definitely suggest Dr. Katz to people with a particular skin problem they want treated or who are just looking for a great derm in the city.

I also went to see him and waited hours to see him. He was definately not worth the wait. I paid hundreds of dollars for laser surgery that did not work for my brown spots and he never tried any other procedures. His surgery actually aggravated the problem and left blisters on my face. His advice: come back when there are stronger lasers!!! I went to another dermatologist at Skin and Spa and I am very happy with her. She actually found a much chepaer solution and she always honors her appointments. Don't waste your money on him, it's all hype!

this office is a zoo - a factory. dr katz is a good doctor, but he has become too consumed with making $$$ with his new smart lipo and has forgotten about patient care and respect. appt times mean nothing - they are rarely honored and he books appts in the morning when he is still out doing surgery and expects that patients will just wait hours to see him - a shame.....
