We brought our son to this doctor due to a constant 24-hour headache at a 1-2, and regular migraines shooting up regularly to a 7-8 and sometimes even getting to a 9. On top of that my son has had really bad insomnia most of his older child life. Since early 2015 my son had been seeing him for these conditions and we kept being told everything was fine. That he saw nothing wrong on the two different MRI's done (one ordered by ENT he referred us to, one ordered by the ER which was 2.5 years ago). All he wanted to do was medicate the situation.

Found out July 2017 by two doctors just beginning their residency, specializing in pediatrics only, who just happened to take a look at my son's MRI (then showed their supervisor who called in the other Neurologist at the clinic) that Artacho had been ignoring (from at least the point of the second MRI, 2.5 years ago) the fact that my son has Chari Malformation. For infants and children this is a life threatening scenario which needs to be monitored, and surgery for the condition is recommended at the point of my son's condition. Said surgery would even potentially eliminate the headaches and rid my son of his insomnia (even if it's treatment and not cure). Research I have done (as we are still waiting for the appointment with the new neurologist) suggests that it is likely the safest surgery is now no longer possible. The other two options risk my son becoming a paraplegic. All because this Artacho was inept in his treatment of my son.
